    Phenom 955 and a GTX 460 SC

    Stock:
    3.2 800/2000
    Low 4120
    High 2895

    OC:
    3.8 860/2150
    4751
    3143

    OC:
    4.0 880/2200
    4931
    3198

Got over 3200 high with the GPU at 900, but the fan gets way too loud.

In beta at 720p with the standard default settings:
30-50fps most of the time in the open fields, with the occasional dip below 30fps and peaks at 60.
20-40fps running around uncrowded areas in town.
18-22fps in crowded areas in town or around aetherytes, with dips to 15fps when spinning the camera around.

I really hope the 460 gets optimized better than this by retail.

Yeah, it's not a GTX 460 issue with us because it's a beastly little card. It's a Squeenix problem with optimization. For a long while, I figured it was my PC that was crap which was the problem, but nah. It's just the shitty optimization. I've gotta think that there's gonna be some drivers or some updates between Nvidia/(Wherever you got your GTX 460 from), and FFXIV.

I never ran the regular 720p settings, but at 1680x1050, I got pretty much those FPS as you, Kalyna. Did you try any higher?

Is there any perticular reason my 'ATI Overdrive' tool just greys everything (for both of my GPUs) out so I can't overclock via it? I tried to download ATITool, but it only crashes my 64bit Windows 7.

I know CrossFireX is not even utilized for the Benchmark or Beta, but shouldn't it typically do more than just help running multiple displays, both GPUs should be helping render the same junk on one display... My CrossFireX tool just shows "1" & "2" on different displays when I tell it to Identify GPUs. Also, Diagnotics, which "indicates the status of my setup" is blank. CrossFireX is "enabled." Could CrossFireX being enables disallow me from using ATI Overdrive?

You need to click on the key/lock symbol to unlock overclocking. They disable it by default.

supposedly, using sli driver hack. I haven't done it though so you'll have to do some googling, I hear it doesn't work with 460's at the moment though.

Due to the p.o.s. that is my non-widescreen monitor, I only tried 1280x800 at the highest. It's just a tad bigger than 720p so the performance wasn't so different.

you can still try 1900 in a 1280 monitor, anyways I had no difference in framerate between 720p and 1080p :/

Suposedly this monday Nvidia will launch new beta drivers.

What voltage are you guys using to get 900mhz on a 460? On stock voltage I can't go beyond 800mhz and 1900 mem, doesn't even get that hot either... @ 1.1 the most I've been able to push is 850, I tried 900 @ 1.2 and furmark crashes after like 5 minutes.

Did you flash the bios to allow voltages past 1.087?
I noticed when I had my msi 1gb 460 even if I cranked the voltage up to 1.2v I could only get an extra 20mhz or so out of it compared to 1.087v(910mhz). These 460s don't scale very well with increased voltage. My current evga one will do 890 at 1.087. My 2nd MSI would do 870 at 1.087.

Yeah I flashed it, I was able to get mem to 2200 though, so I'm at 850/2200, got 200 points higher on high bench (5635).

Don't burn up your VRMs, they already run near 100c with stock voltage, unless you have the gigabyte model, which I think has a heatsink on them.

Not really big into computers and haven't OC'd anything. Tempted to OC this, what kind of scores do you think I could get up to? Cards a 5870.

Wanted a 59 but people keep posting lower scores with the 59, even with OC.

Dunno about 5870s, but that 1055t should OC like a beast! Assuming your mobo can do it of course.
Oh you asked what scores... I dunno, you would only really benefit on that scene on the stairs with the fog OCing your cpu, I don't think it would do much. Since I'm not familiar with radeon overclocking, I can't tell you how much increase you would get by OCing your gpu.

I was worried about the 1055, really wanted to get an I7 but I got this computer for $400 off normal price so I couldn't pass it up. 1055 has really surprised me.

It depends on the brand and whether it's reference or not, I couldn't OC my xfx 5850 much, and have read of some 5870s that won't even oc 1mhz, hence why you read reviews and benchmarks before buying, usually there's an OC section in every review.

Null, I'd really love to see what you get with a modest OC of like 3.5ghz (on the cpu, stock gpu). I have a 1055 also, and even at almost 4ghz you are beating mine pretty solidly with that 5870.

Does anyone have any GPU/Memory speeds to suggest safely/stably overclocking my pair of Radeon HD 5700s to?

That was my score on low running a 5830.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get my score on High because the Benchmark was so huge it went way beyond the screen in every direction. Same thing for low, though it wasn't as bad. Any way to resize the Benchmark?

Also, this benchmark was taken while downloading the FF XIV Beta Client, so no clue if that will effect the score in any significant way.

That varies on your cards quite a bit, I've heard of people hitting 1k core.

My saphire + vapor-x 5770s can only run at a max of 915/1300 (although I run at 905/1275 due to heat/safety). Any more than that and I can't run Furmark without it freezing/crashing.

Just keep upping the clocks and running Furmark (multi-GPU) until you are happy with the temps (don't want to go much over 90c with furmark). Note: Furmarks temp thingy is bugged for me and both graphs display my main cards temp.
