You're talking about stuttering in game right? Cause I hope I'm not the only one experiencing that lol and I definitely am not reading this whole thread to find out!

With the stuttering issue peeps are having make sure you have Ambient Occ off and shadows at standard set buffer to resolution see if that helps

SSD completely resolved heavy stuttering issue for me. It seems to be a problem with gfx drivers reading tons of shit off of HDD and locking the game until the data is finished reading. So I would think that a driver update can fix it, I don't know if this latest driver solved it for me though. I would have to install it on a mechanical drive to test.

Though we may not be talking about the same issue, seems there's several people talking about stuttering problems and there may be several causes for it.

Tried the new 260.63 Beta drivers with my GTX460 and my High score in the benchmark rose from about 2600 to 3100ish, not bad.

Low score only got up from 4100 to about 4400, but that's still more CPU dependant afaik.

    Edit:
No significant change in game FPS, still hovering around 18-23 fps in packed Limsa adventurer's guild.

tried that, my stuttering doesnt seem related to graphics, I can play at minimum setting or maxed and the stutter is the same

yeah its a little more smooth and with some less stutter with the new drivers but its not good enough, theres still weird sttuters in the city and GPU usage drops.

Only tested Limsa though, I have no more animas to go to Gridania lol

Furmarked my SLI'd 480's and fuck, at stock SC settings the first one hit 100c (I know thats still stable, but yeah... not OCing them). XIV pushes the GPU's hard, least not as hard as furmark in the long run.

    Hell ya, EVGA lol

This weekend I should switch the cards around. Since the bottom one has the High flow backplate. But figured it makes more sense for the bottom to have that since its making love to the top cards and adds a bit extra room. XIV in p3 pushed my single 480 to 92-3c and 99% load (and that was in a shitty case and higher room temps). And Furmark pushes that same card (SLI'd) to 100c under full load in a better case and cooler ambient temps, so I'd like to think Furmark is stressing it more then XIV.

Crank up the settings and put DOUBLE buffer size with AA.
On two 470s I can get easily max out usage on both cards in a lot of field areas. That's also using 1200+ MB of VRAM on each card.
    FFXIV is the new Furmark.

and it still don't fix CF performance issues ;; same/worse performance 1920x1080 Fullscreen (CF) as windowed (Single 5770).

At least the temps are more in line with single card (was hitting 83c pretty quickly when I tried CF last time, getting the normal 70~75c on 10.9) although it could have been the area.

So I downloaded new beta drivers. Any reason my scores actually worse in the benchmark now with same settings? Not to mention all but one time I've blue-screened mid-benchmark.

Any clue why? I tried re-installing the drivers but I keep getting blue screened. Shit sucks. I'm only getting 2000~ with my EVGA 470 Gfx or whatever and I can't hit over 28 FPS in FF:XIV unless I turn everything down to the lowest setting and look up at the sky, lol.

Anyone try the new ATI drivers with FFXIV. Any performance increases for CF? Looking for peeps with 5850's and above.

SLI 480 hydro copper and a 980Extreme both WC give 6.6k+ high 8k+ low. those are the non OC numbers that i posted a while back. OC numbers almost break 7k high and 8.7k low

    Table breaker:

That's with the 260 beta driver. Still not detecting my 2nd 480 GTX. My previous score was 3900ish.

No SS unfortunately but I just ran the benchmark on my new system.
    Core i7 950 @ 3.06(stock)
    6gb ddr3 ram
    1x evga gtx 460 1gb

    High: 2800~
    Low : 4621

Hopefully once I get everything updated/ tweaked I can muster up a better score.

User error or something you're not telling us, these drivers are gold. So much in fact, I had to do some further CPU tweaking as I sensed a milestone would now be within my grasp.

Woot, not too shabby for a 470. Gotta love nVidia drivers.. especially when you look at the leaderboard for my score when this benchmark was released and realize I've gone up nearly 1000 points on optimization alone :D

I"ve heard several complaints about these beta drivers causing people issues as far as errors and blue screens go, so.. I dunno. I still haven't gone with the new drivers just yet.
