I'm not being argumentative, just blunt. None of the stuff you are saying, like its facts mind you, is true for my system. Back in 2006 when everyone had a single/dual core and 7600GTs or x1900s Aero could lower performance. This is 2010. I honestly cant tell a difference between Aero off/on in task manager nor in any games I've played previously. This benchmark is certainly not more demanding than Just Cause 2 or Crysis.
Edit: Another thing, just look at the data.
3.6Ghz C2Q + 9800GX2 (or slightly underclocked 9800GTX)

3.2Ghz x4 955 + HD4850 (which quite honestly should be my equivalent)
http://www.bluegartr.com/forum/showp...&postcount=187
Or even this guy:
2.7Ghz i7 + HD4850 (in case you still think its CPU/RAM)

Or him:
3.4Ghz C2Q + GTX275

Disabling Aero showed about 50-75 points for me, and my system is fairly old. Don't think I'll factor that in as 'matters to me'.
Score: 4134 (high)
GFX: 5870

ATI Radeon 5850 1GB
Intel Quad Core i5 CPU @ 2.67GHz
4GB RAM
you maaaad as hell
My system is using parts from 2007 -- it's an old pc; not as capable as recent advancements from the last two years. You're just insulted and trying to salvage your outdated bragging rights. Either upgrade, and accept that your rig isn't top shit anymore -- get over it.
Never said my rig was top shit. Actually I know it was never top shit, 9800GTX+ was never the top GPU. I mad though yes, Celeras tends to annoy me every time I read his posts (between the blind nvidia fanboying or what you see here it shouldn't be hard to get annoyed). Edit: Should clarify, he's helpful sometimes but annoying every time somebody mentions the HD5000s.
I'm pretty sure you completely missed the point of my edit as well. Every single one of those systems should be right up next to me (or beating the shit out of mine in the GTX275s case).
Looks like I'm gonna have to buy a ps3 -.-, scored 1283
Heh, just ignore him. He turns off Aero and notes a performance increase, then argues it isn't effecting his performance. Compares to other peoples scores, but on low only and then sites GPU as reasons why they should be getting higher. There's really nothing left to respond to, I'm not even sure he knows what hes arguing about anymore.
Anywho, ran High for the 4th time Kryss and got same exact score on the money again. 2/2 Aero on/off now. Consistency is good, at least ;p

only had activity on 4 cores and 1 gpu. Are there any tweaks yet to get it running with xfire? Very weird they released a benchmark thats force windowed.
i7 920 @3.8
2x 5870
high setting
Well, this sucks, I only get crash at start.
Windows 7 (32-bit) on Aspire 5672 with X1600. I cannot update my video card since ATI sucked hard and they dropped the support.
I only wanted to see the bench even if I get 1 point.
What's funny, this game uses DirectX 9 and not 10 or 11 ! o.O
I get that you're basically just doing it for fun now, just want to reiterate to everybody else that tweaked scores aren't going to be put on the leaderboard for the sake of consistency.
Pretty sure that Crossfire/SLI doesn't work while running a game in windowed mode, so
Could make another thread for tweaking for best performance ... benchmarking!
8 cpus?! from i7 920? Dual quad core?
Metafox and I were talking about the error messages i got, I simply downloaded the missing DLL (corrected problem and ran benchmark) but i did not have sound after that.
If you go to microsoft and download DirectX 9c from them it gave me audio too. So if you are having any troubles update to directX 9c and see if it takes care of your problem
Its called Hyperthreading.
