Oh my cpu isn't running at 2.3. It is set to 2.3 in bios and I increase to 2.6 within windows using Gigabytes Easytune software(the ff14 demo seems to read bios for its cpu info). Just for info, I get 400 points less in low mode running the benchmark at 2.3. Could go higher but without changing the voltage it will crash at anything over FSB set to 261+.

Still a weak cpu just clearing that up for anyone with something similar that hasn't/has overclocked.

So, upgraded to the new vanilla 10.6 Drivers, lost 200-300 on score with defaults (no tweaks/overclocks/etc) from original score with defaults. Installed the new Enzyme 1.4 betas, got this on defaults:

Score increased around 300 from original score, about 520~550 better than 10.6 vanilla. 1.4 betas are based off of the 10.5 hotfix drivers, where as 1.3 (the original driver set I used) are based off of the 10.3 drivers. Additionally, where before I had a decent spread between scores, the scores are now less than 10 apart. Not as great as the exact same on each run, but much tighter than before.

I went through each page searching for "saulin" and nothing came up. Also the name saulin doesnt come up with you do an advanced search for it.

It seems odd that its as demanding as it is, but its not unreasonable; especially when you consider the lifespan of MMOs.

Also, what GPU freqs are you running Alecrast?

Using 10.6 drivers, on low cause the only monitor I have right now doesn't go up to 1920x1080.

I broke the benchmark D: I put the tuning utility over the benchmark report screen to show actual CPU speed.

I want to build a new PC but if the current gear out there can't even get us to 6K I may wait until after release to upgrade... No sense in unloading $$$ for something that can't even play the game at the highest settings yet.
The "8000+" range PCs haven't been built yet. Tanaka said way back when XIV was first announced and he was asked about the system requirements that it would be fairly demanding at launch but that a "good" PC 5 years from now would be able to run it at max settings easily. A "good" PC 5 years from now is a cutting edge PC 2-3 years from now.

I'd imagine we will see 8k+ scores once ATI/NV get multi GPU support working.

This is in low underclocked on a circa November '09 Alienware M17x...

Going to overclock and download Nvidia Tools to see if it'll do better... still ran smooth as hell, I don't know why the score is so low...

How do I get it to run in SLI?

Anyone try the rename trick to see if they can force multi-gpu?
basically rename the executable to Crysis.exe

You could try this for ATI cards to force crossfire

^ I don't have multi cards, I beleive all those tools do is rename the executable (correct me if i'm wrong). I'm a big fan of not downloading anything I don't absolutely have to

Downloaded and tested the tool. Scores didn't change from what they're already at for baseline. Ran through a series of tests using Crysis and FFXIWinBench (for shits and giggles - don't think that is CFX either is it?) with path defined to both FFXIVBenchmark and FFXIVWinBenchmark, using Auto and AFR CFX methods.

If anyone else can get it to do something share the settings.
