Upgraded to the newest Nvidia drivers... not much of a change :/

So, upgraded to the new vanilla 10.6 Drivers, lost 200-300 on score with defaults (no tweaks/overclocks/etc) from original score with defaults. Installed the new Enzyme 1.4 betas, got this on defaults:

Score increased around 300 from original score, about 520~550 better than 10.6 vanilla. 1.4 betas are based off of the 10.5 hotfix drivers, where as 1.3 (the original driver set I used) are based off of the 10.3 drivers. Additionally, where before I had a decent spread between scores, the scores are now less than 10 apart. Not as great as the exact same on each run, but much tighter than before.

Interestingly, I installed the vanilla 10.6 drivers and my score bumped from 4145 to 4200 exactly.

I'm not going to try tweaks like turning off Aero, because in my normal usage I don't do that, and I won't if/when I play FF14, so while it might be good for some benchmark points and a higher spot on the leaderboard, it's disingenuous.

Kind of wish I hadn't jumped on a 5870 the first week of release and waited to grab one with a better cooler. I'm not in a huge hurry (though I know I could do it safely) to up the speed from stock with the reference cooler, since where it is now yields nice quiet operation at very acceptable temperatures.

Update after a bit more GPU OC tweaks. Still 4.2Ghz on the processor despite what the screen is saying, single Radeon 5870 (1.35v, 1.0Ghz core, 1.3Ghz VRAM).

Looks like we're in the opposite situation to xi, first it barely used it and now we're gpu bottlenecked by them not being powerful enough!

I think that's about as far as I can take it, too. It was a stable OC, but only barely so. I think I heard a little voice with a Scottish accent inside my video card screaming something about not having the power...

Tried it on my laptop on low (C2d 2.2ghz, 8600M GT, 4gb) and got a massive 500 points. Also noticed that even on low it was only using 1 core at 90% and the other at 10%. Guess maybe the video card was just so bad that it was hampering the cpu? Didn't really expect to play on it so oh well.

Intel i7 860 @ 4.07GHz (Titan Fenrir cooler), Sapphire 5870 2GB Toxic edition @ 985 core, 1285 mem, no voltage tweak. 10.5 Cats.

That's about as far as I'm willing to push my system. Those with GTX480s will undoubtedly be able to squeeze a little more out of their rigs, especially if they've got the waterblock kits.

whats weird is after i installed new vid drivers so i could even get the bench to run, now my desktop doesn't take up the entire monitor anymore when using HDMI, tested with DVI out of curiosity and scored like 5-10 points lower on both res

It complained about the .DLL, I found it and dropped it in there and now it crashes after I pick character/resolution and press start.

I suppose I need to be more specific, is Square Enix aware that the benchmark doesn't utilize it and might make future adjustments before release? AKA: Will I EVER be able to make use of my Crossfire X with the 14th installment of Final Fantasy: Final Fantasy XIV Online?

update: no sound, but I earned a measly 2698-high and 4017-low with:

AMD Phenom II 3.4Ghz Quad-core (8 GB RAM)
Radeon HD5700 (1 GB RAM) without crossfire x
Windows 7 (64-bit)

I put a note in my score post (#442) that:
Score was higher on XP compared to win7(aero off), +20 on high, +276 low
using 32-bit editions of both xp and 7, and the same driver version.
