Wow that gave you quite a boost in your low score. Very nice.

Yeah, i'm still gathering informations since it's {long time} since I bought my last system (dont even own a dual core yet). Also I'm considering buying the X6 1090T but dont know if its worth the extra costs.
I usually don't overclock, could you tell me your scores with 2,8 GHz?
It might be if you don't overclock, but otherwise its the same exact chip at 3.3ghz with a higher multiplier. 1055 at the same clock would perform near identically.
And Ill let you know if I run stock.
Anyone happen to have this laptop by any chance? I'm getting 1800-1900 scores on low, but I feel it should be able to do at least a little better. Also seems like it isn't triggering the turbo boost much at all when I run the benchmark. Any way I might be able to optimize?
Sorry I missed out what to do with it, just put it in the FFXIVBenchmark/data/ folder along with the config and renamed .exe. Shouldn't need to replace your existing .dll and I doubt it'll be recommended to try.
Folder should look like \FFXIVBenchmark\data
in FFXIVBenchmark you have FFXIVBenchmark.exe and the data folder. You leave this exe alone (it won't work after renaming anyway).
In data folder you have client and another data folder, as well as FFXIVWinBenchmark.exe or something similar. If you have run the bench before you will see config.ini (it will be created after the benchmark has run if it isn't there).
You need to rename the .exe in this folder to 3DMark06 (or Crysis, probably others that work as well). Drop the modded .dll into this folder as well.
Now run 3DMark06.exe that you just renamed and it should pop up in a x720 or x1080 window (I think 720 is default if no config.ini) then go to fullscreen within a sec or two.
EDIT:: Managed to get CF to work, you have to use HIGH res (RESOLUTION=0 in the .ini, I also had CHARACTER=8 ), I renamed the exe to RE5DX10 as well. FPS was all over the place and I lost about 500~ points from my previous attempt at high =/ However it was using my 2nd 5770 and CF pic appeared in top left.
Can't take pics because it just comes out as a blank screen.
EDIT2:: aannnddd it doesn't work any more because my 2nd card is stuck at 860/1200 MHz after running the benchmark.
Followed everything, runned the bench at full screen (.exe renamed as Crysis) and I scored 2200 in high res, while I was scoring 3700+ without the modded bench... WTF????? :hfyb:
Edit:
Scored 5693 with the .exe renamed as 3DMark06 and heard the fan on the GPU increase speed during the bench. Seems this time both of my GPU worked?
I have been waiting for this. I have a out of date machine but I wanted to see how it works on it. I downloaded the benchmark but it won't run. It says: "The application has failed to start because d3dx9_41.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." I know my computer is old but I just want to know if it will even work.
Specs:
AMD CPU 64 x2 Dual Core
4G RAM
Nvidia 9800GT 512MB
Windows XP
DirectX 9
Was just curious so I ran it with the modded dx9 file:
Spoiler: show
Previous best was 2199 on high. Not that bad considering I didn't even try to make sure any background programs were closed. Might be able to hit 2400 if I overclocked.

Edit: Just saw this from earlier in the thread. Not sure how to quote it right sorry.
"In case this hasn't been answered already. To fix the d3dx9_41.dll missing error go
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...displayLang=en
This will update DX run time libraries with what ever you're missing.
Alternative would be
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displayLang=en
For the June 2010 DirectX runtime library update. Should include all updates prior."
Will this hurt anything to download this sense mine is older? I'm paranoid I guess but I don't want to have a new DirectX version that it can't handle and then screw up a bunch of things.
im a little confused. I overclocked my i7 965X (3.2) to 3.875 this weekend, and installed my GTX 480 SC.. And my Low is now mid 6400'ish, but my high is mid 4300'ish. Wonder how the other guy got so high on the same card and less then a .200ghz difference
I had the same error message earlier outlaw, and followed the advice in this thread to get the benchmark running. Nothing bad happened to my pc, for whatever that's worth. I'm sure you'll be fine.
Stock videocard seems like the obvious answer here, CPU can only do so much on high. My 470 is clocked (way)higher than a stock 480SC, if you left that alone your score isn't gonna be where it could be. Its a simple process when compared to CPU oc'ing, and since you handled that just fine you shouldn't overlook it.
Mah score sucks. ;_; It's from on low.
