Ran mine again on high and got 2700ish, but the FPS looked fine.

    i7 920 @ 2.67ghz (stock)
    evga 275 GTX "superclocked" 896MB
    6GB Corsair Dominator DDR3

Not really putting much faith in the benchmark but figure I'll play around with it some. Anyone else noticing huge downward spikes on the benchmarks graph? I don't notice any severe fps drops during the spikes so just curious.

It was on low, latest drivers from NVIDIA. =[

Wondering if it could be my 50" plasma? Refresh rate is 60hz and its native res is 1920x1080.

That's a pretty standard LCD isn't it? Don't see why it would be crippling your score on low... (but what do I know?)

Figure I'll post the screenshots I got and repost my system specs to make it official or whatever.

    System:
    Windows 7 Professional 64bit
    i7 920 @ 2.67ghz (stock)
evga 275 GTX "superclocked" 896MB, running 257.21 drivers
    6GB Corsair Dominator DDR3

    Low:

    High:

Looking at other peoples' scores seem to indicate that I'm about where I should be I guess. I guess video card would make the biggest difference here but I thought the 275gtx was decent /shrug.

edit: Decided to run it again with the onscreen display built into EVGA's Precision tool and was able to see the framerate. As I thought the framerate was mostly fine, dipping down to 30 a few times on the boat when shit was really hectic. FPS was mostly in the 40s and 50s however so that's good enough to suit me for now.

I have a quick question for you PC sauve people. I can trade my PC with a family member's PC that meets all the requirements posted in yesterday's specs save for one:

    AMD Athlon X2 (2 gz)

Their computer has a AMD Sempron FE 1300 (2.6 gz)

Will this cause any problems running the game?

Would be surprised if you can even run Windows 7 with that. That's like... about as good as it was in 2004.

It's a few months old and runs just fine.

Looks like it was the drivers Gokulo, score seems about right now on low settings.

Much happier now as it felt way smoother fps wise.

I hate to agree, but AMD Sempron FE 1300 is a very old processor. You would be taking a great leap of faith on that. If SE is saying you need a certain processor or above, then I'd pretty much say it wouldn't work, but it's ultimately up to you.

Lavalys Everest Ultimate Edition, really nice as it has Vista/7 sidebar support!

Yeah bumped the VCore up from 1.32 > 1.46 ;p VDROOP owns me though on this board! =\

Ahh. Yeah, when mine's not running, my three cores (meh) typically hover around 32-34C and that's in a hot environment known as Alabama. D:

But yeah.. I assume that's the full version of Everest? Mine didn't have that option. I use HWMonitor, but sadly I get a few false reads (Says it's at like.. 55C. Nothx.)

Can I upgrade the processor reasonably or should I just try and sell my old computer and buy a new desktop?

HWmonitor doesn't actually read anything, it just spits out whatevers in the bios.

o.o. Oh. Well shit. What's a good free-to-use program for getting semi-correct temperature readings?

Coretemp is going to do the exact same thing as HWmonitor, and should give you the same readout for your core temps. They're all just reading off the bios.

The CPU temp is measured by a sensor located underneath the IHS (cover that thermal paste is applied to) and core temp is measured by a sensor embedded on the CPU chip itself. It's good to have both, that's why I use HWmonitor. Core temps are almost always lower than the CPU temp, and it's pretty typical to go with the highest value to be 'safe'.
