Why are the 470/480 scores so low on high in this thread?
Why are the 470/480 scores so low on high in this thread?
Does that mean no SLI will function?
Does this get fixed with an update from NVIDIA, SE, or both?
Is there a likely possibility this will never get fixed? (I'm not sure how these things normally go)
it's an early benchmark... most everything supports SLI, I wouldn't worry.
Cool, thanks.
I just bought a Radeon 5830 as part of my upgrading so can't run the benchmark yet. I wonder what kind of scores I'd get on high with that and a Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66ghz and 3gb RAM. I have a 24" screen so would love to be able to run it higher than 720p. Looking at the scores on the first page it's doubtful. Do you think there will be resolutions between 720p and 1080p?
Yeah..... those are just the low and high ends of the HD resolution spectrum. They'll have everything in between, don't worry.
They're inferior to their ATI counterparts.
Buying a new computer for school. Gonna play 14 on it as well, what do you guys think it would hit on the benchmark? Don't have the computer yet going to buy soon though. i7 930 2.8ghz processor, ATI Radeon HD 1GB 5770, 8GB RAM DDR3 1333.....thoughts?

Surprised that my hi was as good as it was, considering how shit-terrible my low settings are.
Ok. I found that hack that allows you to run in full screen (with SLI). Using that, I ran low res as follows:
CPU: i7 920 @ ~3.7
GPU: gtx 295
ram: 6gb dominator
Score: 4600
I don't have my hi res monitor atm, so I am gonna try running high res on my friend's tv.
How did you run it full screen?

Then adjust the fan profile and have it ramp up to your liking. If you expected to match/beat overclocked results while at stock I don't know what to say ;p
Not to push you or anything, *cough*, but even a lowly $250 465 is capable of matching the top score on the board with a proper overclock. (Its flashed to a OCP bios & unlocked so gpu-z mis-identifies as 470, take my word for it) Get your moneys worth, you got the beast for a reason didn't you?![]()
yeah I know, u alrdy helped me out w/pointing me in the right direction earlierI'm just being lazy and waiting to see if the game supports SLI and just get dual cards.. if it turns out it doesnt... well then OC I will do. (either that, or if it doesn't perform as well in beta I will do the same because I'm impatient lol).
Btw - any suggestions on having shadow at "High" vs "Highest"? My uneducated guess is that shadows are overrated as is at the highest settings
Talking about beta? No idea, but I plan on running it with every available setting enabled/disabled, running a set path and recording a FPS log. So look for that post when it happens![]()
