SLI/Crossfires users
to run FFXIV benchmark at full screen, which will enable Crossfire/SLI, you will need a modified .dll, download the .dll from this website, http://bygzam.seesaa.net/article/153685727.html and put it in your "/ffxibenchmark/data" folder and rename you ffxibenchmark.exe "3DMark06", this will run the benchmark at fullscreen. to change to 1080P open the config.ini and change the resolution to 0, to change to 720P change it to 1.
i would like to see some benchmark's from someone running some 5970's in Crossfire, or some 480 fermi's in SLI.

So I can't get the benchmark to run Every time I hit start it comes up with an error. d3dx9_41.dll was not found.

I'm running on Vista, but I think I'm finally gonna upgrade to Windows 7 and try again.

You can also try going to microsoft's website and updating/installing directx 9.

Huh? The only 480 score is ahead of all the 5870 scores, and the 470 scores are ahead of the majority of the 5850 scores.

I didn't scan the whole thread was just looking at the 2-3kish scores on cards I thought would lawl most of the others. (not a very big margin)

Then adjust the fan profile and have it ramp up to your liking. If you expected to match/beat overclocked results while at stock I don't know what to say ;p

Not to push you or anything, *cough*, but even a lowly $250 465 is capable of matching the top score on the board with a proper overclock. (Its flashed to a OCP bios & unlocked so gpu-z mis-identifies as 470, take my word for it) Get your moneys worth, you got the beast for a reason didn't you?

Make sure you have a back-up card or enjoy your expensive brick if you mess up.

Teach you what, that stock bios has overvolt/overcurrent protection that drops your voltages back down to the rated maximum should you try to increase above safe levels? Or that NVflash has a failsafe to default should you attempt to flash a corrupted bios.

GPU clocking is entirely idiot proof these days, and the only way you can screw up a flash(which is entirely unnecessary to even do unless you're unlocking very select cards) is if you intentionally chose a legitimate bios for a card you don't have. Or maybe yoink the power cable mid-flash. And even then the errors can just be reflashed away.

EVGA has a air / water cooled fermi that is covered even if you fry it OCing, you have been taught. Buy quality, use quality.

Sorry, I didn't want to read through 38 pages. I tried reinstalling Directx9, and a website I looked at said its not a good idea to just get the 1 file. I figured having Directx reinstalled would take care of the problem.

You were ignored the first time you asked this for a reason, it's been answered a million times. It's a fucking guideline, nothing more. Nobody knows with certainty how scores are going to correspond to in-game yet seeing as the game isn't even out. A good score will run well, a low score will have issues. If you're seriously looking for a score->FPS conversion ratio you're out of your mind.

I suggest waiting a bit more. Beta starts Saturday, and we should get a clearer picture on how important the benchmark numbers really are, and how they relate to actual in game performance.
