* Go to folder FFXIVBenchmark\data\
* Rename FFXivWinBenchmark.exe to 3DMark06.exe for CrossFireX ( Crysis.exe for SLI )
* Copy full screen wrapper d3d9.dll to this folder.
* Run 3DMark06.exe ( Crysis.exe for SLI )
Where exactly does it want this d3d9.dll file just inside the final fantasy folder or in a specific file?
Place d3d9.dll inside FFXIVBenchmark\data\ where the FFXivWinBenchmark.exe is.

what is this emotion that I am feeling
lol, 2 years old macbook pro
AMD Athlon x2 6000+ @ 3,01 MHz
Ati Radeon HD4850
High: 1307
Low: 3571
Windows 7 64-Bit...
but wow... when I see some setups in the list which I really thought should be better then mine...
All right just got done running scores with this SLI trick or what not and the verdict is the shit is broken or does not scale right should i say .. Can go back to page 16 where i posted scores something like 7366 on low res and like 4200-4300 on hi res? Point being with the SLI trick and having them both working i scored like 7633 low res and high res was 4500? lol Had all CPU and GPU monitors up the shit didnt even use but like 8-5% of the 2GPU usage it spiked out once like 33% but that was a brief second while Gpu 1 stayed at like 99% lol ... So i figured hey maybe my Gcard is fucked then i ran 3DVantage and got a 39.000 score both gpus usage was maxed out at 95-99% so yea hope this isnt an issue when game launches or gonna see alot people with dual gpu cards and crossfire/sli unhappy lol!!!

quick q, what should I be setting for best performance using a HD 5770?
4GB ram, x64 win7, gonna be using windowed mode.
"Buffer Size"
- Window size
- Double
- Half
- Quarter
"Multisampling"
- 1 sample
- 2 sample
- 4 sample
- 8 sample
Also, does "Ready Boost" make any difference for a game like this? Got like a 8GB usb stick available..
I have really no idea what Buffer size does, I know people have trouble if set at anything but Window Size.
MS is easier... 1 sample for pure performance, 8 for quality.
Is MS the same as AA?
Yeah, Multisampling full name is Multisample anti-aliasing (MSAA), you have the Full-scene anti-aliasing in some other games (FSAA), but don't ask me the difference.![]()
Okay, maybe I'll just set it to 2 instead of 8 >_>;
Readyboost is really only for people with really low amount of RAM. You won't see any performance increase if you have a normal PC (I think the effect more or less wears off if you have 1 GB or more RAM).
If you have over 3gigs of ram, stop using ready boost.
