Uh....I really don't want to answer this, but, it's not your OS because "it can't utilize the RAM". You have a graphics card that barely meets the minimum requirements for the game and that is all. Your CPU isn't amazing, but it should be ok for the game. If you want a higher score you're going to need to update your GPU at the very least.

His shit is old. Which is fine because his monitor is old too, so it all matches. So his score isn't really that bad in that regard.

I just tried your suggestion, alternating between GPU-z and MSI Afterburner to see my GPU loads. Both showed quite similar data, with one card running at ~80% and the other at ~50%. Not sure why it'd be using a load from the second card.

Any suggestions?

Got nothin, I have no idea why it would be using the second card at all unless you did something.

Also @ above, Windows XP can utilize the exact same amount of ram as Windows 7. ffs

This:

Video: If it doesn't say "GeForce GTX 4XX" or "Radeon 57XX/58XX/59XX", it will not provide you with a decent performance.
CPU: If it's not at least a quad core processor it will not provide you with a decent performance.
Laptops: If you are looking at a laptop and it is priced under $1000, it will almost certainly not run FFXIV at all. Consult the above two points.
Minimum Requirements: If your system barely meets these, expect to benchmark at 1000-1500. That means lots of lag, 5 FPS, minimum settings, and don't even try to set foot in a crowded area or your system will explode.

Tried to post this on the beta site hoping for answers there, but after timing out for the past hour and a half I'm giving up and coming here. As soon as I hit enter my info to log in when the screen should pop and boot the game, it formats to the window size and then just stays black and nothing loads. The game ran perfectly for me Saturday so I'm not sure wtf is going on here. Sorry if this has already been covered I search black screen and couldn't get anything specific to this. Is this a driver issue?

Scored 1300 on benchmark, meat min specs, beta is unplayable for me. Rides 90% cpu usage idling, as soon as I move goes to 100%

However, the CS would only be 80-85 on cpu usage.

I'm assuming you mean for max settings? My laptop doesn't meet either of the first two requirements and runs the game perfectly fine at lower settings.

I'll thank you for this comment, you actually really helped me out with this. I tried disabling my SLI completely, and I got my score to nearly double on both high and low tests.

Could be that the load was being shared by both cards, but the test was only seeing one? I'm not sure, gonna play around with it a bit.

I turned em on, wondering what they did today and a realistic blur is not worth the slow mouse + 10fps.

Phenom X4 955 @ 3.2ghz
4gh DDR3 1600

I was running the test at the low setting, 720p. The first time I ran it, it crashed with a "stopped working" error where the Roegadyn with the axe starts slashing. Second time, my PC crashed with a BSOD at the same point.

GPU temps are getting to 56c max, fan speed running at 95%. I am currently doing no overclocking.

Any ideas what may cause this?
