guess things are going well if they re sending out more invites, or they didnt have as many testers at once as they wanted.

Anyhow on the subject of mage mechanics, I think they want to get rid of a resting system, people think of the passive regen like resting but honestly you try to almost never use it low level its cool, but by the time you get like rank 6 you want to be using skills from your current and other jobs to heal yourself to close to full in each battle. Putting away your weapon is basically for traveling an extended distance only, If a melee puts away his weapon he is prolly giving up whatever extra tp he got and what will probably be a higher than 1/2 action guage when he reaches the next mob.

If you give mages a straight mp regen that is fast, they will have to gimp your dmg, if they give one that is slow, it will encourage resting for long periods. You could just sit by a crystal and be a god, but then you re tethered, and most likely have competition. i think the idea of the blm type is to be able to control your output more, the ability to burst dmg at the cost of a resource, how you choose to handle this resource is up to the tools they give you. I think for game mechanics, if it in fact turns out mages need more mp, they SE should look to giving mp skills or increasing total mp rather than regen.
oh yeah there really are a decent amount of crystals on the map, and your mp bar tends to last longer than you think.

1. I've re-done my app several times.
2. Last time I redid my app I specified PS3 and used my code from buying FFXIII.

What saddens me is, when i sold my FFXI account i close my Square enix account and made a new one. That i registered my FFXIII Ps3 code and registered for FFXIII Beta in it.

That's why i think i wont get it

Wow, why people are so conservative. When i started playing FFXi back in the days, that was the first time i saw an Auction House in a MMO. It wasn't perfect but it was an innovation and very well made for the time. You could spend hours at it trying to find goods and selling stuff, it was a part of the game IMO.

I don't see why SE cannot find a good alternative/innovation to the current AH system we all see in MMOs. Maybe it won't be perfect at launch and will require some tweaking through the first months, but i really hope they keep going with this and don't bother with a regular AH. It would emphasis on crafting/gathering and give people another thing to do in their game than leveling/grinding imo. I'm a big fan of crafting and gathering, FFXi was good on this matter and i'm pretty sure SE is going to come up with something very good for XiV.

Yeah. When I initially did my app, I didn't use my FFXIII code or specify PS3 because I wanted to test on PC. So I finally said "fuck it", and just used the code and picked PS3.

Well I dont think too many people are complaining about the system, its just, confusing and makes very little sense. Innovation is good but only if it works well. old AH systems are fine, not saying this new system wont work just that it needs to be BETTER then or Equal to the AH system and from the sounds of it, it isnt. Though all it really needs is a search function and a way to buy the items directly from the search screen. A lot of people actually have faith in the new system, if it doesnt work they will fix it, Players want a decent way to buy/sell goods. If not we will complain.
