So im guessing under the account management some time tomorrow i will be able to activate the beta ? Because as of right now ffxiv is not even showing up in my account management.

You don't activate the beta. You just log on with your SE ID on the correct region's beta site.

Does anyone know if you have to wait till the beta test starts to DL the client, or can you do it beforehand. What time does it start on tuesday.

I see , so it just a horrible torturous wait time till tomorrow till i can even do anything ?! ha ha that is some kinda torture! I appreciate all the responses guys, i woke up this morning, checked my phone, saw an e-mail from SE, read it, and then really freaked out! Quite a surprise , i never have luck with this sorta thing..

Times are posted a couple before yours. You can DL the client when you can get into the forums/site. Tomorrow.

On a different note, I was just taking a peak at "youropenbook" to search through facebook status updates for ffxiv beta, and there's a bunch of hits of people who were selected for beta testing but aren't interested and offering their accounts to friends. I suppose that would be creepy/borderline stalker'ish to message random people for their beta accounts eh? >:D

so , being my first time in any beta , EVER! You can only play the beta within the time allotted for play by SE?

Yup! A little unusual compared to the beta's I've been in, but it seems like they are actively making lots of changes between each of these sessions, so it isn't all bad.

I believe that they are making great strides honestly. They are constantly implementing stuff and listening to problems from players (see the delay between active/passive). Maybe SE learned from their mistakes and are doing something about them?

It sounds crazy I know but let's hope for the best.

I would suggest anyone waiting to log in to download the client to find it elsewhere (wink wink) the majority of you won't have time to download and play it tomorrow otherwise.

I was thinking the same thing. Will take all night to download then i will curl up in a ball and cry. Is this actually possible ? Downloading the client somewhere else? PM me if so!

Absolutely, that's how a lot of us downloaded the Alpha. (I downloaded for data mining, never got into the game).
