    So I did 3 guildleves before getting disconnected. Now I'm sitting in a queue. Not only that, but when it first put me in the queue I was #365, now it's actually moved me BACK to 410. Pretty sure that's not how queues are supposed to work...

    If I hit "cancel login" on the queue screen will it shut down the client, or just take me back to the title screen?

    What do you set your "Global maximum number of connections", "Maximum number of connected peers per torrent", and "Number of upload slots per torrent" to?

    I'm still trying to tweak mine to get better performance. It keeps dropping down to like 20kB/s :/

    It depends on your connection. Go to Options - Setup Guide and run the test.

    No. You gotta download this new patch anyways. Might as well do it quicker.

    Yeah, tried that. Seems to make it worse. Recommends upload of 58kB/s, global connections at 350 and connections per torrent to 150.

    I did turn the connection per torrent up. Mines at 300 , you just have to play with it. If it recommends 58 kb/s upload, cut it to 40-45. Leave it for 5 mins, check it out.

    Some quick notes. Was running this on a laptop with AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 @ 2ghz. and Geforce 8400M. Scored 248 on benchmark. The optimisation must be progressing because when I tried this one out on Alpha, it was a slideshow, whereas now its more of a quick stutter. Ofc I shall not be playing on this need the desktop to be unborked soon
    Spoiler: show

    -Tried out marauder. I love it, I might make this my main just need to try pugilist first. They're definitely big hitters, and they seem to crit often, not sure if the other classes are the same. I was critting about 25-40% of my hits. Regular attacks hit for a little above 40 each time.
    - Two attacks, Light Strike, which does the usual damage, and Broad Swing, which hits the same but in a cone. I seemed to get an increase to parry rate after killing something I used Light Strike on. I parried a fair amount.
    -Weapon degradation is alright, after ~15 fights my Weathered War Axe was at 93697/97600 wear (yeah, huge numbers) and my Weathered Bandanna at 13726/13900. There was an option to 'seek repairs' in the weapon's information window as well as to repair it yourself. I tried to use 'seek repairs' but it said 'Your Bazzar is full'. I didn't pick up my retainer so maybe its because of that.
    -Can sell stuff anywhere by the looks of it. Just pick the sell option on the item info window. 10% surcharge, so i'm wondering if it gets 'beamed' to your retainer which would be cool.
    -Option to seek an item on the info window as well. I thought it was to buy the, but I'm not sure. You click seek, and choose a price, but the item then gets moved to the bazaar section of your inventory box for some reason.

    FOR THOSE OF YOU HAVING PROBLEMS. HERE'S HOW TO DOWNLOAD WITH UTORRENT.

    Cancel your download on the updater.

    change where to download new torrents to. Open Utorrent, options, Directories, change it by clicking the ... beside the box.

    Then in that box, just click
    C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version\downloads

    When done,
    Remove the torrent (don't delete the data)
    start FFXIV
    ???
    Profit.

    So what servers are people ending up on, or scattered all over? I'd love to have a semi-competent party to try to do leves with.

    think about it really every1 is using uTorrent and disabling upload and then bitching about the speed lol, if every1 turns off upload no1 gets it ...

    Seem like SE killed off any proper testing by letting this many people get access at the same time. I can't empty my Stamina bar right now because of the delay.

    edit: Is it only me or have they nerfed hp regen while in passive mode even more?

    People on here seem to think if they upload it makes them download slower or something.

    As close as we are to release I think their more concerned about server load than re-hauling the game. Also more testers means more people to bitch about how there's not enough .

    Stress testing is also a proper testing
