Yeah I had no troubles logging and aside from the slight lag and stuttering it was alright.
Gonna wait for them to fix the stuttering problem before playing more though, it's irritating.
To derail this thread, I wonder/hope that at a certain point when leveling elemental stats that they add en-effects to your attacks. This would be cool but it would lead to more LOLJOB style thinking and realities.
I'd rather see legit enspells. Having a permanent enspell on you from your element would mean you couldn't melee certain mobs because they might absorb the damage lol. Also, it'd get obnoxious if everyone used enspells.
I would like the elements to have a pretty big impact on our offensive abilities as well though. If I go hardcore fire, my fire spells/ws should hit very hard, but I should be pretty weak to water etc.
If I fully downloaded the old version of the game, is there a way I can update without fully redownloading the game? I tried reading the past few pages, but. Don't know if any of those solutions would work fir me or not. I downloaded using the utorrent method.
has any caster tried dumping all of their elemental points into the element of their dart to see if it increased damage?
It does say it's just elemental resistances in the menu... It's very irritating when they were talking about it it sounded a lot more like you were aligning yourself with that element, and that it would affect resistances and offensive abilities as well. People who focused on fire would have deadly fire magic, and be resistant to fire but weak to water etc. But it looks like it's just a resistance stat, which is HUGELY disappointing.
It means the only reason to raise this stat one more than the other is if you think you're going to get hit by that type of spell more often, so basically most people are just going to raise it more or less even across the board, and later on when we see the big HNM bosses that need certain resistances, people will move their resistances around if possible.
They need to give it an offensive boost as well, or no one will have a reason to pick a particular element other than HNMs.
You can use a EU account in NA right?
I agree with what you said except the bold I dont think anyone should be necessarily week to an element they dont increase, just they have no resistance to it.
And I would love ele stats to dictate spell pot / acc some (not a whole lot) but if I do have 50 fire stat and 20 water my fire IV (or equivilant) should do more.
I don't agree.
They should have made the AoE larger, if that's the issue. It's not like you'll be fighting only against one monster majority of the time, and in these cases the AoE spell would pull ahead in damage, but you wouldn't be pretty much required to use it to kill stuff.
The no MP cost spell should do at least comparable damage to an attack round of a melee class IMO.
You don't agree that the damage done by a spammable, element-less auto attack that uses no mana should be less than the elemental spells that use mana? Ok, great, nobody gives a shit. It was still a needed fix.
Ffs why was it only a temp ban.
