It's still a beta so there's still tweaking they're gonna do, XI was like this also. Not to mention I highly doubt the stalling animation in the intro occasionally and Bae vanishing like a magician will be in the final build ;p

spirit dart was completely broken in alpha. I'd only use an AoE magical atk when I had 2-3 mobs on me, otherwise the only magic i spent was on cures & SS / shockspikes. Granted in alpha magic all did the same values.

Only real gripe is that the AoE is either none-existant or such a small radius that the mobs have to be right on top of each other. Cause hell.. I had 2 mobs maybe 2 yalms apart and shit still only hit one lol

Not so much less that it's completely inferior to melees basic attacks. Especially with the MP system being the way it is.

Yeah, but I doubt we'll see serious crafting before a) more people get to rank 10 or b) SE adds the crafting leves back.

A lot of people are complaining about some balance issues on the beta forums. It sounds like ontop of the conj/tham issues any WS like ability does hardly any extra damage over a normal attack but consumes half of your stamina bar plus using TP. Melee classes are currently better served spamming normal attacks if they actually want to do damage.

Is anyone else still getting the "You could not log in because the service account in question is not registered.
If you would like to log in to the service, please log in to the Square Enix Account Management System and register the service account." message from trying to log into their SE account? Not sure if maybe I am entering the wrong SE account or if they still have not allowed my account to be able to play the beta yet. I was told to wait until the 13th on the email SE sent me but i still cant log into my beta account.

2 hours passed... only 0.9% done -_-. I kept looking for the "torrent" link of the client but I couldn't find it in this thread. I wonder if people are giving them out in PMs or something..if so can I have it please? because SE downloader SUCKS and I really want to get in teh action!

Considering I've been rocking Puglist, I think it was that first Con something blow move you learn? That did a fair bit of damage as well as knocked the enemy the fuck back.

SE is well aware of balance issues which they've outlined in upcoming changes.

How are you guys evven getting skill, I'm in a party and I consistently get no skill ups for my actions. I use both spells and the auto attack, neither give skill points. I was stuck at 768 points in Conjurer level 1 for the longest time until randomly I got 100 on a fight and then a few fights later got 50 and hit level 2 conjurer, but now I'm stuck at 58 points getting no points in any fights again. For reference, I am almost physical level 7...and conjurer level 2 with only 58 points....

Is there some fucking secret or is the game just being extremely shitty?

edit: Meanwhile the facerolling melees are getting 200 skill just for spamming the 1 key. I am using my spells which cost MP and getting absolutely no skill points from it.

I have used the torrent to download it much faster in Utorrent but what do I do with the 3gb patch? I put it where SEs on shitting downloader was putting it but replacing the file with the same name in the folder but its not working I open up the beta installer and it ignors it and starts downloading a new oneinstead

Never mind Its a new patch rather than re downloading the old one just read the file names they are differently numbered

It is pretty unclear (or I just don't get it ...) how I "join" a guild like the blacksmithing or cooking one or are the guilds not working yet in the beta?
