Does anybody understand the conditions for which you have to 'exchange' a leve? It doesnt seem to be connected to how many I have accepted, what type they are, or where they're accepted for. But sometimes, seemingly random, I'll have to 'exchange' a completed leve in order to accept a new one?
Like for instance, I have NOTHING but the initial tutorial leve for the rats. Completed. I go to accept the other battlecraft leves, I have to exchange the tutorial leve. I accept the bearded rock leves, and do them. Return to the NPC and go to accept the tutorial leve again.. and i can do so without exchanging anything.
Where is this whole behest thing they added?
There's 1 yellowjacket NPC that appears at each camp that you have to talk to. However, said NPC has a global cooldown, so if someone beat you to him and flagged Behest-- you can't do it. No idea how long it takes for Behest to become available again. I saw some people doing Behest outside of Bearded Rock (is that the name? I forget now) with the Yellowjacket NPC nearby, and when I went to Camp Skull or w/e its called, the Yellowjacket NPC was at camp, and upon talking to her she just went "I just finished killing shit, go away a while."
Thanks Rocl! Good to know, didn't know there was some kind of cooldown on it.
It is sad the official beta forums are such a freaking mess and full of retards.
Sometimes I try to read/post there but most of the time I find I can figure things out on my own faster
(Also the "Unable to perform that action." engage bug with Guildleves sucks, as does Arbor Call crashing the game.)
Kind of worries me the game is coming out in 2 months yet there is such imbalance among the disciplines. Also, guildleves seem to only be good for money, you gain much more exp and skill point just soloing stuff. Which makes melees extremely fast levelers and casters extremely slow levelers.
What's Behest?
Is there anything specific I'd need to do if I were to copy this to another PC to test the performance on?
I'm zipping up the XIV folder to transfer, but I get the feeling I'd need the installer itself also.
Also, I'm taking it I got fucked out of my levequest since server booted me 5min after I started it. ;/
(granted it was my fault, but I didn't realize I would be timed on it, though it'd just be like any other quest)
FU Square Enix! Stop sending me e-mails unless it's an invite. >.<

This may have been brought up before, but does anyone else besides me noticed that the more stamina you have before using a skill, the less likely you'll miss? I was eyeballing it so I can't say for sure if this is true, but it's something to look at.
I had a similar problem when I change my res from 1776x1000 to 1440x900. All my shit on the right was hanging off the screen. Luckily I could move everything back, except the minimap, it was too far gone to save. Haven't hit the tester forum and I have no answer other than set your res up, log in and move stuff up/left, log out change res and go back in.
rofl got a video with ventrilo chat of this failed crab battle.. Too funny. XD
first and foremost question, does anyone have a tip to download and browse that damn slow beta forum offline ? this shit is unusable i dont know where or what to post not until i can review it properly aka browse through all the posts
i hear about that a lot but couldnt see any way to exchange anything. would love to get more detailed explanation
well they dont have any excuse really i just spent the whole day playing with a core 2 duo and an ATI 3450HD which sells for 30$. it doesnt get lower than that. basically if you need to get more than 200 in the benchmark, and then you re in for a 10fps average and amstrad graphics. this shit is so pixelate i cant even read avatar names.
testers from all regions play alltogether so i dont think it matters. however i dont understand how 15k x3 players can fit into limsa lominsa... i must be missing something
tons of predefined modes ranging from 1024x768 to 1920x1080. no exotic resolution though (no portrait mode)
certainly seems so.
Will our beta names carry over? Or can I just have a beta name and use the actual character name I have planned for the real game when it comes out?
Beta data is wiped when game is released gotta restart at 0
