Yeah, I hear you. I had to remake my character from Saturday since I moved servers but I managed to reach Lv10 Pugilist and I'm really starting to feel the gimpness of my gear. I really hope people are getting somewhere with their crafting or it's going to be very painful to get any further.

Anyone has any idea about the version check failure error?

I'm keep getting either 11018 or 11023 version/file check error. I have been try to looking in the official forum over there, however non of those post provides any help.

I have tried to turn off my anti virus (firewall never been on anyway), but the problem still around.

pugilist weapon lvl1 are in the hallwaks halley in the skin-shop if not wrong. those lvl 25 23 h2h too.

Note that when you change weapon, you change your "lvl" against monsters. In others words, if you can beat a sheep(lvl20) as conjurer(lvl20) and change to pug lvl 1, the same sheep will be Incredible tough and still lvl 20, while you will be a lvl1.

just extremely hard and tedious atm since very little income, no idea on recipes and skill lv for them. There are a ton of mats on all the various venders, but who wants to spend hours and hours trying to figure out 1 recipe (while wasting all that money), when you can be doing other things and local leve's will be implemented soon enough?

Tip for alt-tabers, add FFXIV as a non-steam game and you can use steam's built in browser (shift+tab ---> web browser) without getting the direct X error.

As stated again I'd like to stress you can level crafts, I'm at like lv7 weaving, its just incredibly annoying. If anyone was thinking of doing it, I'd suggest buying 1-2 stacks of moko grass from the NPC in town, and harvest/log for lightning shards to make thread. Earth shards should come easily off rats for making the threads into cloth. You'll also get cock and crow feathers from logging, cock feathers are a low level synth (3 feathers = 1 fletchings), and I think I could start doing crow fletchings around ~5. Fletchings require wind shards, I think I got a fair bit from logging, moreso than lightning.

As for harvesting, you'll get a lot of dumb shit, occasionally cotton bolls which you can synth into thread about lv~2/3 (3 bolls = 1 thread), but you can't harvest moko grass until you make your way into Western La Noscea, at least I never got any until I went there but I also didn't set my Botanist traits ><, just abilities.

+1/2/3 materials start your synthesis with higher durability and quality. I managed to HQ thread once and got 9 instead of 3, but I haven't HQ'd since.

1 hempen thread + 2 hempen cloth = inferior inner dalmatica or something like that

1 hempen thread + 1 hempen cloth = hempen socks or hempen half-gloves

2 hempen thread + 1 hempen cloth = hempen sleeves

last two recipes might be reversed and one of them might be 2 thread + 2 sleeves, i can't read my writing, lol

For dying cloth (which makes diff. colour armor) simply buy a dye from the NPC and include it in your cloth synthesis, i.e. leaden dye, 3 x hempen thread = 1 leaden-dyed hempen cloth. Dying requires a water shard.

uhhh that's about all I can remember atm

EDIT: 2 moko grass = 1 hemp thread, 3 hemp thread = 1 hemp cloth, and it may be 2 bolls instead of 3 for cotton thread, and it's 3 cotton thread for 1 cloth, i just couldn't synth it at level 6

When you complete a combat leve, it just stays in your list of quests but has a check mark or something next to it. I think the max number of leves you can have for a region is 3? If you try to accept a a new one and you're already full, it will ask you to exchange one. The more stars you trade in, the greater the rewards for the quest you exchanged them for.

That's the gist of it I think, at least.

But it has offered to exchange leves when I only had a single completed leve accepted x.x; Did not notice any increased reward though, Ill be on the lookout for that.

1. I am a senior computer programmer with a decent pc that runs Metro maxed out.
2. I Didn’t lie on the beta application and still have no invite!
3. Why is there people arguing that the game doesn’t run well: low fps, crashes, etc?
4. Clearly they have outdated or non-supported graphic cards, cpu,etc. So they lied in the beta application and yet get invited for beta testing...
5. I am willing to contribute my knowledge and years of experience to the developers of SE so the final(release) version comes less buggy.
6. If there’s someone out there that got invited in to more than one account or can’t run the game, and would be willing to share an account FOR THE GREATER GOOD, IAM AVAILABLE!! Have pity for me… PM me.

I haven't seen much talk about it but has anyone figured out what the amount of skill points you gain after a battle is based on? I'm assuming it has something to do with the proficiency points you get during battle but it still seem very random to me. Am I just not clever enough to see what's going on here?

Before when I tried to accept another leve it said that no more were available from that area, even though there were many I hadn't done yet. Is there a limit on how many I can do for a certain amount of time?
