FFXIV Random Speculation/Question thread III: Where's my beta invite?

I recieved my beta @ 5:30am pst yesterday and it's now 9pm PST on the 13th and I still can't log into the beta test site. Friends of mine got into the beta test site but not me and yes I have the acceptance email from SE. So i'm just a little bit confused. I notice a few people earlier was having this problem too but no one really said anything other than wait... I guess my main concern is will they actually register my SE account soon? Did anyone else have to wait an extra day from when the time they suggested you would be registered? That's all my email says for the date. * The Beta Test Site is scheduled to be made available at some time

I really wanted to try the beta but looks like it's going to be another disappointment from SE.

Try again later. Maybe you need more than just a day. Some people get trolled by SE, others get early access, even others get late. Nothing you can do about it unfortunately.

alright, I have no idea how exchanging works either

I accepted 3 level 1 battle leves, did them, came back and exchanged them for 3 more. I also got 2 mining and 2 botanist levequests. I did all 7 or whatever, and then went back to the levequest guy, and got a level 10 battle leve, but it didn't ask me to exchange any. I tried to accept more level 10 ones and it said I had none to exchange. Then I tried to get new mining/botanist ones and it also said I had none to exchange, and wouldn't let me accept any new ones.

I think you can only do 8 guildleves in the time period before they refresh. Although I did 6 in the first window, and was able to exchange them for 8 new ones during the current window (3 battle @ CBR, 2 botanist @ CBR, 2 tutorial, and 1 battle @ Camp Skull Valley). I couldn't exchange any of my completed ones from CBR for the last 2 battle ones at CSV though. And my journal says 8/8 regional guildleves. Might have to wait until Thursday to do more.

Are you trying to create a new character? As far as i know the queue is only for creating characters.

Retainers seems fairly simple, but I can't find anywhere to get into the Ward or view other peoples retainers.

I haven't found too much yet for Carpentry, but I did find a few recipes.

Willow Log + Wind Crystal = Willow Lumber or Willow Plank

Oak Log + Wind Crystal = Oak Lumber or Oak Plank

Oak Log + 2 Wind Shards = A Handful of Oak Chips

Haven't figured out what to do with them, or how to make arrows or bows yet, however.

High Quality items: Can be done by normal synthesis with a high focus (nuggets for example over 60) or by "Touch Up" after synthesis is 100%.
Take care with "Touch up" since is like if you were still crafting which means you can still BREAK the synthesis and the durability GREATLY varies each try of touch up.

Note: There are materials or items parts with the same name but the base (material made) is different.

On the map of Limsa, you'll see something named Southern Island, get there and open your menu and click Teleport. Tadam.

You can use both full screen and windowed, unfortunately full screen crashes when you ALT+TAB and I've tested earlier, SLI doesn't work yet.
