Is it just me.... or did the hyur F's boobs change size while they we're changing character faces?
Giggity.
^ Whoa, whoa guy. Watch that non-FFXIV talk. There are eyes everywhere...
On topic, I wish there were different run speeds. I'm not advocating for a running stamina gauge, but the summer jog thing that the Hyur have going on (midlanders) puts me to sleep. I want to get my toon some newbalances and a sweatband.
FFXI proved that players are complete nutters for +movespeed. I leveled BRD practically for no other purpose than I had to have mazurka. (and for those few glorious days of flee-zurka when the instrument was bugged)
I'd be shocked if there's not a plethora of +movespeed methods at launch (though equipment movespeed might be too much to hope for).
HOLY FUCK

Looks like a hi-res warp stalker from... bah, can't say, but yeah.
Those goobbue pics are glorious.
But yah, good to see some higher level mobs/HNM's. That glacier style area looks interesting too.
didn't see it posted yetThank you for your participation in the Alpha Test!
I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to those of you who participated from the beginning, as well as those who joined in midway. With your invaluable assistance, the Alpha Test has come to a successful conclusion.
The Alpha version is but a humble framework of what is planned for the full product version of FINAL FANTASY XIV, with many parts of the game still undergoing development and fine-tuning. In light of the various issues that arose during the test, some may feel that “successful conclusion” is not the most apt of descriptions. But it cannot be denied that much fruit has been borne from this, our first venture into working hand in hand with our users to create FINAL FANTASY XIV. For us here on the development team, these past two months have hurtled by in exhilarating anticipation.
We have received a veritable treasure trove of feedback ranging from constructive criticism to words of encouragement, all of which have been a source of great strength and inspiration to the development and operations teams. The results are evident. The Alpha Test phase saw the alleviation of server load and countless pressing bugs addressed. Some of you may have also noticed that the version of the game presented at the recently held E3 and on the FINAL FANTASY XIV CHANNEL boasts a vastly improved UI, character creation screen, and battle system, just to name a few things. These refinements owe their existence to your invaluable feedback. In our ongoing endeavor to create a better Eorzea, we intend to continue taking the voices of our users to heart, from the Beta Test phase to beyond the release of the full product version.
The Beta Test phase draws near, and nothing would give us greater pleasure than to have our trusted Alpha testers be the first to experience this latest iteration of the game. We also feel that no one else would be better qualified to discern the advances made over the Alpha version, particularly in the area of processing load mitigation. Once version stability has been confirmed, additional testers will be welcomed to the fold. You can expect to receive information pertaining to the Beta Test in the very near future.
We intend to make this Beta Test a success, and look forward to your continued assistance!

FINAL FANTASY XIV Director
Can't wait to roll with my lancer/gladiator hybrid come Beta. Bring it on.
While the second Bomb pictures look alright, that first bomb picture makes it look like it ate the other bombs.
All the other mobs look awesome though. Liking the enemy variety.
It seems since they are insistent on not showing my mandragoras, I will have to support the next best thing. Team Apkallu, GO!
Spriggans
Monsters look great. C'mon beta invite!
fuuuu i want the beta to start so bad
I like how the crabs actually look dangerous this time
