This is wrong. There is no registration to complete. Every person who had this issue was either trying to log on too early or was using the wrong login info. A very small number of people had issues using some browsers as well.

If they can log on their SE global account, and attempted loging a long time after the date in the e-mail, I'm curious to see where the issue is.

The browser issue was a blank page afaik, not a "account not registered".

He was able to log in once he used the right login info.

Someone a while back was unable to log in unless he was using Firefox, and he was getting the "account not registered" error. I'm not sure what browser he was using originally.

Gonna tell them to try the browser thing then. I know I couldnt log in with IE the first time (was getting a blank page).

Sadly though that's what many people sign up for alpha for though. They don't give a rats ass about actually contributing to making the game better.

Well, the playing was uber limited, and they're changing the battle system, so it might be a whole new ball game for most?

Pretty much. By release I expect so much stuff to be different everyone from the Alpha/Beta will be relearning a bunch of things.

Also, fish up FFXI patch notes from like right after its release and then compare it to US launch, then WOG, and such. Shit has changed a lot.

"I was in the Alpha/Beta" will just be epeen jargon like it always has been.

Even if it's one year worth of experience, you're maybe 10-15 hours late max if you take into account the actual content we have. If you played FFXI, you know how to play FFXIV.You just need to figure out how guildleve works (10-20min), and you're set. Unless the beta has more content than the alpha, you wont be ahead other on release, or at least, not significantly.


Beside, no beta tester is going to start in limsa lominsa to begin with, after being stuck in that city for 6 months.

i could have sworn somewhere they said that the beta would be in the same area but with all of the updates. On the other hand, if they let us start somewhere besides limsa lominsa im all for it :D

Yeah, it should be in the same area, but they are still adding some contents (retainers, new crafting jobs).

Theres a ton of active members in the alpha forums, most feedback threads get 100+ replies and the 10th alpha test for controls and UI got 800 replies alone. We all just aren't playing to get a heads up on everyone :D

There are only 15-16k per region though, and each region has its one forums, so those 800 posts are from 16k people.

If your bored and look through the profiles, there are a ton of people who have never even logged onto the forums, or if they have logged on, have never posted.

You can submit bug reports through a system that's separate from the forums, so there's no real way to track how many people actually contributed.

Granted, they were down a lot, but still.

So I'm trying to access the beta site, but I get this when I log on:

Does that mean my account is gone from their database? Thats very strange.

Same thing happens to me. The forums must be down for maintenance or something. Maybe wiping it for beta?
