Sounds good! Thank god I wasn't the only one :D

Yeah, same here.
Weird, im able to log in. Probably just maintenance.
Is it the same case for EU testers?
interesting i can browse around the beta forums but i am not logged into them...
I'm not having any issues with the EU forums.
hmm they may have disabled all accounts on the beta site to disable posting, because i have never seen it go this long w/out a new post on any thread lol
I doubt that, there was a post 26mins ago (and plenty earlier in the day) on the EU forums.
Why don't you post something and find out?
I wonder if it was just the JP boards that got a notice then.
2 days ago, there was a post about how the bug submission system was going down for maintenance. It started 6/28 9AM JST and is expected to end at 8PM JST on 6/30, and is said to affect all FFXIV testers.
The notice only mentions the bug submission system though, and I can log in fine. I wonder how closely that is tied to the dev-na boards.
On a side note, for comparison, most of the JP feedback threads rarely go over 100 except those on basic operations and user interface, which regularly go over 150 and a few times they have come close to 300. Also, to compare the 10th test basic operation/user interface combination thread to the NA one, the JP thread went over 900 posts.
Very brief summary of the changes to the game manual tonight for the beta:
There will be 3 character slots.
Level cap will be 30.
Any attribute points you have spent may be redistributed after a certain amount of time has elapsed
Barring a few class-specific exceptions, actions will be available for use even when using a class different from the one on which the action learned. However, the power and efficacy of each action is determined by its affinity with the character’s active skill.
There will be restrictions to teleporting: You start with 100 anima and it recharges slowly over time as you use it. Returning costs 2 anima, teleporting costs anima based on the distance teleported.
They have added party seeking and search options.
Equipping a shield will display 2 stamina bars.
Leveling a Crafting job will grant new abilities to be used during synthesis.
You can dual wield swords on a Gladiator now with the beta?
Anyone got the beta site workin again yet?
I'm getting the same error on the NA site.
(kanji shit) (0): Table 'dev_na_open.ubbt_na_USERS' doesn't existselect USER_ID from ubbt_na_USERS where USER_LOGIN_NAME=
I imagine it's a temporary situation.
there has not been a post on the NA forums (except for them updating game manual) since 9pm CST last night
i can't post anything because i cannot login on the beta site and i assume no one else can either
when going to the beta site it redirects to the SE login like normal, accepts the username and password, but then gives this error when sent back to the beta site
after seeing this error, if i go back to dev-na.ffxiv.com then it lets me browse around the beta site, but i am not logged in - clicking the login and using my SE username/password results in 'password incorrect for that username'Table 'dev_na_open.ubbt_na_USERS' doesn't existselect USER_ID from ubbt_na_USERS where USER_LOGIN_NAME='(my user name)';Code:クエリの送信に失敗しました(0):

andThrough the natural course of use, all equipment-weapons, armor, and tools alike-will suffer from deterioration and a decline in effectiveness. At the hands of a skilled blacksmith, however, such equipment can be restored to prime condition.
- Do-It-Yourself Repairs
First, ensure that the proper tool is equipped. From the main menu, access the Item List and then Inventory. Choose the item you wish to restore, then click the Repair button to initiate the process.
- Enlisting the Aid of Other Adventurers
From the main menu, access the Item List and then Inventory. Choose the item you wish to restore, then click the Seek Repair button to initiate the process. You may choose to offer a certain amount of gil or an item as payment for the repair.
- Emergency Repairs
Certain NPCs located in city-states can perform emergency equipment repairs upon request. Be warned, however, that the subsequent quality of equipment repaired in this manner will fall short of those worked upon by honest-to-goodness blacksmiths.
were added to the game manual but i didn't see anything about character slots or level capVarious game settings can be changed by accessing the Configuration sub-menu. There, players can optimize their play environment by adjusting graphics, sound, camera, and keyboard settings.
I guess the NA site is borked temporarily then. EU ones are working fine.
EDIT: The new info I posted Bluestar is just updated in the older sections. You need to read through it again to see the changes. They aren't highlighted in any way, the manual has just been changed a bit.
needing a second hammer to repair your hammer seems kind of sucky (which seems to be implied)
I would be fine if crafting tools didn't deteriorate
The Japanese reads: "Sending your Query failed"
Me too. Does this mean the site + beta is going up soon? Or in a few months?
