I also dont think you can maximize the window which kinda throws things off.

Windowed full screen is the way to go my negros.
Hmm from the skills we've seen for the classes, being able to mix and match, I hope I'm not the only one in thinking that SE could afford to "jazz up" the ones learned at higher levels, if there's one thing I'd miss most from FFXI it would be weapon skills. Be it anything from asuran fists, blade ku, penta thrust, rampage, guillotine, sidewinder/slugshot etc and it wasn't just the look of the weapon skills but the sound effects they made as well which added a lot to their appeal.
I know if it came down to a choice of having versatility/usability to being flashy, I'd go with choice A rather than having all flash no substance to back it up but some flash wouldn't hurt, maybe a lens flare or two hehe.
Also I wonder when some classes are near or at the final cap, if they would be able to learn a move/skill that is only available to them only like say pugilist being able to learn "final heaven" or something like that? It would be cool if that would be able to happen.
If I'm not mistaken there are already class specific skills that cannot be equipped to another job.
Well here's to hoping there are advanced skills/moves at the end which are bit flashy and not some lame animation with a few sparkle effects.
yea i hope so as well who didnt like to Tachi: Gekko someone or Sidewinder them hope there is some type of Ws that makes you feel you have done some dmg to the mob via your choice of ws and not the same lame ass animations move for all race's and jobs ... main example different animations like in ffxi taru did Blade Ten and did backflip and other character animation had there own little way of being unique features to each different Race .. let alone different feel and look with each weapon skill![]()
honestly in ffxi we didnt really have many op looking moves or new animations that looked cool. and even if you could say we did, it was usually only 1 out of all the WS that truely looked different/special. i think they should keep on par with most other final fantasies aside from 11 when it comes to op looking stuff by the end.
I will be very surprised if alt tabbing crashes the game again, if it does SE need to be shot.
Yeah that's exactly my issue. I play with a dual-monitor setup, so a lot of the time I'll play in windowed mode to avoid that kind of issue -- accidentally clicking on the other display tends to screw up any game in fullscreen mode.
It is just that in windowed mode, it keeps the chunk border at the top of the screen rather than using a faux-fullscreen mode.
whats the "depth of field" setting do? I know "ambient occlusion" is lighting / water effects
Man 60 hours left on this download... been downloading all night too.
Blurs out the background iirc
Are spells going to be learned through scrolls or do you just get them like skills?
