Soap, any pics of gladiator in action ?
Thanks Soap for the screens, some interesting stuff there, the new stat allocation window look a lot better.
Is there still a huge delay on adding the points ?
How come only 83 people in the world ? or is that 83 people looking for a group ?
On the stats screen, its str, dex, etc... whats PIE? lol
Sounds a lot like spirit by another name to me. Not that I know what any of the stats do.
Sounds like magic strength/resist, since piety = faith and faith determined the magic resistance (or lack thereof) in Final Fantasy Tactics.
Theres no delay at all. You are givin an amount of stat points to allocate, you add them to to whatever attributes you want and hit apply. It will apply the changes altogether instead of individually like in the alpha.
I think the party search only shows whoever is within a certain distance.
Piety is most likely not like "faith" or "spirit" because there's already "mind" which is essentially that stat. Piety replaced luck, which most likely has some sort of impact on your Patron Deity. It's impossible to tell right now, but it would make perfect sense, the more pious you are, the more your patron deity affects you, or rather the more the god is interested in your mortal affairs because you are a pious follower.
So how long until we get a "Make sure you have 300 in PIE and facing due west with your patron god as Ifrit at exactly half a second into 3:18 Waterday to get an HQ. If you're too early or too late, you'll either fail it since it's Waterday or NQ"
If someone in beta could try crafting something just to see what the "time limit" thing is, that'd be cool.
Show us how this retainer thing works to it's fullest extent. More specifically, how is the bazaar system when trying to sell items with your retainer? Is this retainer bazaar system basically our auction house? Is there a search function to find items for sale on peoples retainers? Is the retainer something you can see physically?
This might be a ridiculous question since I feel like somebody should have asked this awhile ago (and probably did and I missed it) but I'll ask anyway. Does switching class while having a high physical level make a huge difference?
For example, say you get to level 10 as Gladiator as your first class, and you end up at 10 physical level too. Then you switch to Lancer and you are level 1 Lancer but still 10 physical. Do you go back to the starting mobs?
I'm concerned, because I want to be able to play with friends who are at any level. In XI, it was as simple as switching classes to a lower/higher level class to match. Now, for example, I fear that partying with a level 50 physical may be impossible as a level 10 physical, regardless of class level.
I know I'll be spending my first night just out there fighting, to really get a sense for the speed of the combat, which is what I'll be doing 99.9997% when I get the game. I'll do all the retainer and crafting stuff once I've farmed a truckload of goodies from the corpses of my enemies.
Can you change Ambient Occlusion and Depth of Field in-game without exiting out?
Anyone planning on doing some video's ?
Where's Ghost and is he US or EU ?
Check my youtube channel tomorrow. ^_~
I think Physical Level just dictates your stat point allocation/hp/mp/etc? So yes I think the experience rewarded would be based on your class level. Wonder if there's a restriction of being a 1:1 ratio of Class level/Physical level. Meaning If you were level 2 Gladiator you would only have access to the equivalent level 2 in Physical. Physical is basically like a permanent sub job. If this is sort of the way it works that would be superb. You could max out your Physical level (sub job only one time around in FFXIV that is useful for every single class). Cuts down leveling sub jobs :D I am all for this.
That and no more 75/37 bullshit. Instead it would be 75 Gladiator:75 Physical, 75 Weaver (lol...):75 Physical. How do Weavers level up? The same way a non-trade class would? Or do they craft to level up? Or Miner having to level up through mining and getting points etc?
Well back in 5 hours to read tons of news. Have fun testers.
