I had them a few times, as recently as a few months ago, last one was the size of a small bullet. the very first time i had them though, i needed surgery for removal, there was about 4 or 5 of them. The biggest was 13mm, next was like 8mm, i dont remember the rest.
First surgery I had they put me to sleep, inserted some tube up my dick and shot the stones with lasers.
Stones formed again months later but that time they had me lay sideways on a table with a crescent moon shaped hole in it and broke the stones up with sound waves, they had to turn the machine up so high it bruised and cut up my back

My fiance had kidney stones a few years ago now. He was crying in pain. Went to the ER because didn't know what was wrong with him at first. He was fine after they gave him drugs. haha.

I had tonsil stones for about a year (then I said fuck that and had my tonsils removed). Shit was indescribably gross. I'd spend my nights after brushing my teeth fishing them out with tweezers. Ugh.

I've had 4 kidney stones at ~10mm each, they came in pairs in the same kidney. I had them lithotripsied both times so it wasn't that bad. If I had to pass those straight up though fuck that noise.

Men are four times more likely to get kidney stones than women, and if you have previously had a kidney stone then you will have a 50 percent chance of developing another one within five years. Most people have no predisposing factors to explain why they develop kidney stones. You may have an increased risk of developing kidney stones if you:

* have a family history of kidney stones
* are aged between 20 and 50
* are taking certain medicines - for example indinavir (in the treatment of HIV infection) and taking too many laxatives or taking them too often
* have only one kidney, or an abnormally shaped kidney
* eat a diet high in protein
* don't drink enough fluids
