I get the "Destroyers right now are 53" if you mean with Faith Torque and merits.
But it doesn't seem you do, when you say it goes up to 55 in 5 levels without merits.
Destroyers @ 75 w/ Merits and Faith Torque:
floor(299 * .11) + 18 + 3 = 53 damage
Destroyers @ 76 w/ Merits and Faith Torque:
floor(304 * .11) + 18 + 3 = 54 damage
Destroyers @ 77 w/ Merits and Faith Torque:
floor(309 * .11) + 18 + 3 = 54 damage (54.99 actually, ouch)
Destroyers @ 78 w/ Merits and Faith Torque:
floor(314 * .11) + 18 + 3 = 55 damage
Destroyers @ 79 w/ Merits and Faith Torque:
floor(319 * .11) + 18 + 3 = 56 damage
Destroyers @ 80 w/ Merits and Faith Torque:
floor(324 * .11) + 18 + 3 = 56 damage
Destroyers @ 99 w/ Merits and Faith Torque:
floor(419 * .11) + 18 + 3 = 67 damage
...unless my math is totally misinformed.
EDIT: Oh, shit, I think I see what I did. I added merits twice since I changed my mind halfway as to whether or not I was assuming they should simply be assumed or not. Mathematical screw-up, nothing more.
