Never read the books (yeah.. I know), but have found the movies enjoyable.
Ya, my bad. I should have said The Magician's Nephew. When I got the collection as a kid that was the first one. lol
I'll explain it slightly better this time.
Yes Alsan is what happened when Lewis asked himself what Jesus would be like if he was a character in a fantasy world. However the books and narrative itself in the stories were not a recreation of biblical stories. They simply had Jesus as a character, albeit a fairly important one. I dont know about you but a river god and Dionysus and his followers(aka a roving band of drunken raping whores that literally tear you apart in lust if you lookup the mythology) wasn't anywhere in the bible.
Basically you're looking at it as an allegory when in reality it just used characters from Christianity that many interpreted as an allegory. Later on in say the last battle it was more allegorical since he started running with how everyone else interpreted it.
When series started it was as much of a retelling of the story of Jesus as that episode of south park where kyle had to kill Jesus so that he could be reborn or say the following video.

It's kind of interesting, as like people have said, Susan was never in any of the other books, but she does appear in the trailer not once but twice. As the "beautiful" version of her sister in the mirrored book and at the end with all 4 of them appear with a much older looking Edmund. So it would stand to reason they are going to flashback or something. Definitely not going to be 100% true to the book if they have her in it at all.
I've still yet to see Prince Caspian with how terrible of an abortion the first film was. The trailer looks cool but I think if I really want to re-experience the books I'll pick up the books on CD that was published by Focus on the Family Radio Theatre(lol Christian shit I know); they had really good production values and make the books come to life better than the movies seem to.
Caspian wasn't terrible, not worthy of the book I didn't think, but wasn't terrible
As for any thoughts about Chronicles of Narnia being about Christian, no one who really enjoys the books cares, they enjoy the story and that's it, fuck parallels etc
IT HAS REEPICHEEP
