Didn't you guys get the memo? Americans only like gore-filled FPS games with bulky dudes that have 6 inch wide necks built like a fucking linebackers.

I only played tales of symphonia on the gc and it bored the hell out of me- and the latest titles don't really impress me either.
Don't see this as a surprise.
My problem with Symphonia was that the plot was so fucking cliche and predictable.

Hoping this bankruptcy will give us a definite answer on an NA port of ToV PS3.
I would totally buy ToV PS3 even after doing a 100% clear on ToV 360.
Tales Studio is just dropping the ball. Sticking to cliches/playing it safe and then not marketing themselves to a broader audience altogether.
I'm going to go ahead and unspoiler your response since
1) It's not a spoiler, partially because
2) it's not correct
It seems to me as if you forgot about exspheres and finding out about their creation process and the story of Lloyd's parents, mizuho/sheena, regal/presea/alicia,Yggdrasil, Cruxis, The Renegades and all the other shit that came up during those 15 hours.Spoiler: show
If anything, you could say most of the plot was spent dealing with Colette... not Sheena.
It was certainly cliche but not in that way.
It's all I can remember of the game (I have beaten it once), so it must have really stood out like a sore thumb to me.

Granted, it was a decent length RPG.
Had the best time with that game simply because I played the entire game with 3 buds.
I was stuck playing healer (cept a few bosses) but I still had a great time.
Don't really get why people say the combat system is "decent." It is honestly a lot more fun than a regular turn-based battle system and implements the real-time battles nicely. You really cant just button mash your way through the game.
Tales of series have always been my fav RPG series hands down, I've always enjoyed it more than other RPGs I've played and I love the replayability/side-quests/etc
Never really did get to play Abyss much, but I enjoyed Symphonia/Vesperia alot. I put a shiton of hours into Symphonia though.
Idk. I didn't like it that much. Might just be the artistic direction they have going on that puts me off.
Some boss battles were lots of fun of course.
Well, I didn't enjoy the game as much as I could have because of it.
This is always great for laughs.
I think that you can chalk a lot of this up to bad business decisions, but considering the state of the Japanese economy I think this is only the tip of the iceberg. Marvelous, Mistwalker, Tales Studio, probably a few more I can't remember that are either in trouble or will be soon. Currently Japan's economy is worse off than Greece, if they can't get their debt under control you're probably going to see large amounts of closures and consolidations until we're left with just a handful of very big Japanese game developers.
Whew, for a second I thought you were talking about the guys who Charles Barkley Shut Up and Jam Gaiden : The Hoops Barkley Saga, Tales of Games studio, fortunately that is not the case and I can safely say nothing of importance was lost.
