Something I noticed about you right away is that you are very expressive and it must have been pretty cool getting mail from you (if you wrote to family/friends ect.) I cannot even comprehend what it must be like to see and learn the things that you have, to experience the world in such a way while so young. I will try not to spend too much time thinking about muscular part.
It's pure admiration and a bit of envy from my perspective that you have your heard on straight so early in your life. While it may not take military deployment to do so, it must feel pretty euphoric knowing that you have likely seen more during your deployment and grown more than many people do in far greater stretches of time...
Incoming silly question: if you can.. when you go through Kyrgyzstan will you have to be careful to avoid all of the military action going on right now?
Anyways I went into tldr territory..lmao
ANY enemy except turban wearing mountain dwellers who have sex with goats.
I liked Kiara's picture. If you want to support your country, be a man and use your fists.
I'm glad you're taking positive things away from your tour in Afghanistan. You usually see soldiers describing how awful it is, but I think that might be something media pushes at us. I have had relatives do six month tours in Afghanistan with the Canadian army and they didn't abhor it and were able to take some good from it too.
I really like your pictures. Do you have more?
Good to have ya comin back home Sir. Some folks in here just dont appreciate the work that the military puts in round the clock.
Like or hate the military, one of your fellow countrymen is coming back. Lets welcome him back properly. :3
Oh man, this feels like the 70's!
BABY KILLERS MAKE PEACE NOT WAR IMPERIALISM RAGH
OUTRAGED MILTARY WORSHIP WATCH TOO MANY MICHEAL BAY MOVIES SUPPORT THE TROOPS
So is this where Kennedy/Obama gets tagged in the head and we get a new version of Nixon (Sarah Palin?!) who will mark the decline into decadence and corruption of Americana, but will eventually be overcome by a brief cultural renaissance brought about by an idealistic and creative generation of activists, musicians and writers who feel they can change things?
I mean, I know I'm just superimposing a narrative but it's pretty funny.
edit: oh, and if anyone feels this post or the last are wacky and irrelevant, they're not and you're stupid besides. I'm just skipping the first 10 pages of this sort of discussion. Efficiency.
Damn that piece of artillery looks bad-ass. I'm field artillery myself but it's a given we don't have shit like that over here.
Mmm, you're forgetting the next step. Granted, this is more in line with the depression thread than here.

Fucking hated being over there. It is way too damn hot and sandy. And that sand is a nightmare. Hated it with a passion. The only benefit is the arid air. Can't stand being on the US east coast and swimming to my car through the bloody air.
Then again I consider 70 to be warm so maybe I'm just too coddled? Meh. Keep it around 50 or so, that'll be good.
Welcome back. But stop feeding the trolls. They have dedicated feeders with their own unions now. They don't need new members.
Hope you have a safe trip back home. Did two deployments myself so I can understand on shit feeling pointless sometimes. A lot of times you just sit on your asses waiting for something to happen.
Pay no mind to the trolls, they'll eventually go back to jerking each other off in their own little corner of BG.
Welcome back brother ^^ Got back from my third tour (1st in afghan, previous 2 were in Iraq) May 09.
Let me tell you man, there aren't many things that put some reasurance in a guys mind than knowing he's within arty range. You guys bring light to the darkness, and that's not even being silly. I'm EOD and I worked out of Kandahar, and I think were in the same boat as far as our Military goes. I'm probably gonna pull my 20 though, as I wanna do everything I can to prevent stupid decisions down the line. I am glad to hear you got back safe.
I came back and was pretty fucked up, lost one of my buddies to an IED he was trying to disarm, had to deal with a bunch of fuckwads who never went outside the wire, etc. I went and talked to folks about it, and it really did help.
For real though glad your back home, you pass through Florida anytime soon, i'll buy you a beer! ^^
lol, the "breaking eggs" comment pretty much justified the trollitary picture.
otherwise, welcome home. and that picture of the helicopter carrying the artillery piece is badass.
