Reminder that the charge cradles for the XL go up tomorrow (today?) at some point on Club Nintendo. 500 coins, and they say that supplies are limited. Gonna get a green one~

Grabbed a white one for my daughter but timed out forever after that trying to get one for myself (Blue). On a whim tried for a red and it went through. Not my first choice, but whatever.

they're all available except blue. The one I need. God dammit. Ordered a Yellow and a Red so far. Waiting to see if Blue comes up. If it doesn't I'll get a white.

edit: Got a Red, White, and a yellow for the fiancee's pikachu 3DS.

If anyone wants to trade a blue for my red or white, let me know.

Nothing else really.
Looks cool? Replaces the action of plugging the cable into the back every time with the action of simply setting your XL down on the cradle?

Since NOA seems pretty deadset on never bringing over the 18 3DS Game Card Case again... this is the only thing I even care to toss points at. They have been sitting there for a year at least.

Well shit. So I spent 1k points this morning on a red cradle and a white. Somehow ended up with a total of 5 orders, 3 of which were surely errors this morning. Points were still gone so I assumed I would at least get those two.

Just checked my club page and noticed I got 500 points returned. In my order history list I show a white cradle for 500 points processing... and a red cradle for 0 points processing. The other three error orders canceled. Really hoping they don't fuck me out of the red. I have a confirmation email for it and everything. Bah.

Nintendo Terminates Swapnote

In an alarming move, Nintendo have abruptly terminated online sharing in the Swapnote application for Nintendo 3DS, that allows 3DS users to exchange notes and drawings with one another over the Internet.

“Nintendo has learned that some consumers, including minors, have been exchanging their friend codes on Internet bulletin boards and then using Swapnote (known as Nintendo Letter Box in other regions) to exchange offensive material,” Nintendo’s announcement reads.

“Nintendo has been investigating ways of preventing this and determined it is best to stop the SpotPass feature of Swapnote because it allows direct exchange of photos and was actively misused.”

Nintendo elaborate: “We are very sorry for any inconvenience to the many consumers who have been using this service responsibly; however this decision was made considering the point that many minors also use this feature of Swapnote. Thank you for your understanding.”

Nintendo have not announced if they plan to provide an alternate method for 3DS users to exchange messages with one another. Perhaps the upcoming 3DS version of Miiverse—which has no release date—will provide such a feature, but it appears as though Nintendo aren’t comfortable allowing owners of their devices sharing risqué material with one another, even if it is between registered friends.

Swapnote was that thing I had go boot up occasionally because OCD demanded that I remove the activity blip. I'm okay with their decision.

Also 10 credits short of a cradle, gg.
