what's the benefit of having a Wii U and a 3DS?
any benefit to having the same game on each platform?
Depends on the game?
Yeah, for instance Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will let you transfer save files back and forth on both systems. Its definitely not a reason to get both if you're looking for one, but its a nice perk if you already have both systems and spend a decent amount of time with your 3DS away from home.
I'm not sure what other games coming out will use this kind of compatibility, though.
Zelda bundle fully paid off and will be ready to pick up, just fucking sucks it happens to be on the day Xbone comes out. Ugh...
Just means youll be able to play your game Friday instead of waiting for 6 hours for a Day 1 update to actually play games.
Speaking of which: I too plan on buying the Zelda bundle for the Gold 3DS. If I wanted to trade in my recently purchased Black 3DSXL but keep my current friend code/settings/etc what would I need to do?
For my Zelda bundle, I've already bought a case for the 3DS and a screen protector. Anything else I should get for it? Only plan on using it at home and I don't have a Wii U (if there's any interaction between the two, haven't looked).
I bought a crystal shell case so the pretty color/triforce design won't get fucked up, it's very clear and clean, you can see and keep it in great condition. It actually fits in this other leather case I ordered, just barely and along with the Hori 3DS XL screen protectors, you're set.
I thought that was with a whole bunch of downloaded stuff. I've only owned the thing for a few weeks since X/Y. I'll just ask around, theres a few gamestops in my area. I'm sure one will be fine with it since they're getting a sale out of it.
Worst come to worst I'll just buy the Zelda bundle, transfer the data, and Amazon the "older" 3DS XL for like ~100 bucks and do better than the trade-in.
Thinking I'm going to grab a 3ds this season, Zelda, Pokemanz and really idk what else.
Which 3ds should I get? The XL scares me cause I like having battery life, but if it's worth it I'll go that route or the bundle route.
Any other game suggestions besides those two obvious ones and maybe oot? I've got a DSlite or something at home that got minor use and had a flash card with several pokeman games and the marios, might have hard copies of some.
If it's not obvious I'm 100% clueless on the 3ds as I've only used my lite since black & white came out and haven't touched a handheld since that game. My curiosity sparked when I saw how good zelda is going to be and I started working nights again, needing something to do.
Looks like my gamestop is still taking preorders on zelda bundle... this week just got so fucking expensive. New job, first paycheck, 140 on amazon for mostly job stuff and now a 3ds. Everyone is going to be pissed when there's nothing left to get me for Christmas because I bought everything for myself already.
Guess I'll pull the trigger. Really do need something for the overnights and between you guys and the internets praise, it's tough to pass up. Honestly thought the 3ds was gimicky when it came out but it looks like it became pretty solid - should get more use than my DSi or whatever I have.
It does, no question about it. "3DS XL has an improved battery life of 3.5 to 6.5 hours (depending on what you're doing) compared to the 3 to 5 hours offered by the original 3DS" is what Nintendo basically says.
From personal experience, I have a normal 3ds and 2 XLs and both XLs have always far out performed the original. I don't run the 3D screen much though.
