TGS cannot come soon enough, I want to know what Nintendo is planning. I can see a dual-stick 3DS revision being in the works as an alternative WiiU controller given they share a lot of similarities and both have a touch interface.

Yeah. I had a launch ds, and after years of playing it all the fucking time, the battery lasted about 3-4 hours. Wiki says the 3ds lasts 5-8 hours for ds games.

Does anyone know if it's possible to play any of the Ambassador games as 2-player through ad-hoc? My friend says Kotaku posted something about switching controllers, but we can't find anything else towards two players.

I was referring to more modern smart phone games like Asphalt 6, Dead Space, or Infinity Blade, which arguably look better than most of the current 3DS library imo.

Granted, the iPhone version of the RE game also costs $38 less than the 3DS version.

I agree with Kaisha. The 3DS still has that DS "pixelated 3D" look, which is ridiculous in this day and age.

according to nintendo it adds 2cm to the bottom of the unit, making it almost 2" thick on the bottom lol

(the above one may be a mockup but that's pretty much the shape, 1cm on the left and 1" on the right... not too sure about the second set of buttons)

Hope they managed to somehow pack a backup battery into that.

If that's real, I'm questioning why the face buttons are above the stick rather than below to keep symmetry......and fitting better on it. Portable friendly that is not.

ok yeah that thing is a mockup but according to nintendo it's real. It's a cradle with a 2nd slide pad and an R2 button. It adds about 1cm at left, 2-3 cm at right, 2cm at bottom and 2-3 cm thickness.

How fucking crazy is this beast going to look lol. I feel bad for people who bought first generation 3DS's

Does it have an L2 also? I'm still expecting a 3DS revision to essentially make it a WiiU alternative controller that has all the same functionality as a proper Wii U controller, but can play DS/3DS games also.

And I'd be all for that also.
