So many burst puns. Go.
This is all the reason anyone needs for Nintendo region lock. Assholes.

Remind me why 3DS is region-locked again?
I'd rather they just make a new Zelda with the old overhead perspective with the 2d controls. Seems every time they do a bigger-budgeted Zelda these days they play shit too safe and it ends up hampering the overall product. I want something that'd feel more like the Flagship developed Zeldas on the handhelds. Just a big world to explore with multiple dungeons that doesn't feel the need to hit every checkbox for Zelda tropes/cameos.
Rune Factory 4
Still chaps my ass about region lock, I would have handed them a blank check for that Char Aznable 3DS if it was region free... Their loss of revenue I guess. Fuckers.
If they decided to make a brand new title simply top-down, I'd be more than happy to have that for 3DS, too.
I really haven't jumped in to the Rune Factory games, but I really do love their art style. That always gets me excited (I have Frontier and Tides of Destiny on my Wii... haven't done more than start them up once) and then I can't get into the actual game =( It saddens me.
yeah I've never really understood region locking. money spent is money spent, who cares whether it's spent in Japan or America? not to mention the percentage of people nerdy enough to import games (such as myself) is exceedingly small.
Wrong thread and all, but if MH4 ever hits for Vita in Japan I will be getting that day one.
I don't understand it either. The sales, though limited perhaps, are still sales. I hear "piracy prevention" a lot in response to "Why?" but never understood that as a reason either. So many great, and even playable, games that are denied me by region lock.
Seriously lol, what gets me is that so many people would be more than happy to fork over money, even if it was a little bit more, just to play the game on their system without an emulator. Hell, even if they didn't actually localize it, just bought and imported.. I don't understand this business practice lol..
The only possible justifcation i could even see is for price discrimination, but then that doesn't make any sense either for vidya games. Games cost the most in japan, which is where the vast majority of games are released first anyway. I can't imagine almost anyone in japan would ever import games from elsewhere, so buying out of region games basically always makes them more money.
My Wii is the glorious machine that it is... BECAUSE of Nintendo's European but no North American BS on Xenoblade... originally. They got my money in the end, but well... Fatal Frame 4 is amazeballs. Has anyone ever ever gotten an answer out of the big guys about it? I am forever curious.
its just fan made but you can tell his heart is in the right place (i remember a lot of magazines around 99-00 saying how terrible wind waker looked but i loved it)

WHY WAS THIS NOT ANNOUNCED AT E3?

The hell is it, a 3DS XL? Looks visually unappealing as fuck.
A hardware revision already? Didn't they say they wouldn't be doing a hardware revision on the 3DS, and would be working on the next gen of handhelds instead?
Also figured a revision would have a native right joystick pad. What is this, just bigger screen/curved edges?
I wouldn't really consider it a hardware revision, just the same as I didn't consider the DS XL one.
I'm also assuming the 3d sweet spot will be a little farther back than the existing 3DS, making the larger screen a moot point for that, but should be fine for 2d shit.
