    Current 3DS library:

    Zelda OOT
    Shinobi
    Tetris Axis
    Metal Gear Solid 3D
    Kingdom Hearts DDD
    Tekken 3D Prime Edition
    Samurai Warriors Chrinocles

    Downloaded games:

    Anonymous Notes 1
    Anonymous Notes 2
    Samurai Sword Destiny
    3D Classics: Kirby's Adventure
    Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition
    Zenonia

I've played Kid Icarus and Theatrhythm from my brother and I may pick them up myself next year.

Right now it feels like paper weight to me until I finish DDD. I want to get an XL, but I may wait a bit longer to get it.

Revelations looks like it's going to get a PS3/360 release so I may wait on that version.

I liked Adventure Time, it was just absurdly short. The humor was there, the art and music were there, but the challenge and length were not.

Most of what Jornna said falls into the "can't go wrong with" category. Personally, I didn't much get into Kid Icarus because of the controls, but I can't knock it being an excellent game. Also, Adventure Time is a great game if you love the series, but not a great game if you're looking for a challenging action-RPG-platformer. If you're a fan and you want an enjoyable game with that decidedly AT feel, it's worth picking up.

I forgot about Adventure time because Im getting it for Christmas. Its the DS version though because Amazon had it as a lightning deal for 19.99 during Thanksgiving weekend tough I doubt it really makes a difference.

Bought a 3DS xl for my nephew preloaded with Mario Kart 7 for 159 dollars (its 159 dollars without Mario Kart as well) at best buy tonight.

On the subway ride home I read the box and noticed that its region locked. Any easy way to hack it/ mod to make it region free? It would also need to be permanent since my nephew is 7 and in Ireland

No, there is no way to make it not be region locked.

It's real, from yellows8, but probably won't lead to anything.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity to Release on March 24, 2013
    Spoiler: show

On March 24, the popular Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series will make its debut on the Nintendo 3DS hand-held system with Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. With vibrantly detailed 3D graphics and more than 20 Mystery Dungeons that change every time they are entered, nearly limitless adventure awaits players and their Pokemon friends in this new game.

Become one of five popular Pokemon from the fan-favorite franchise – Pikachu, Snivy, Oshawott, Tepig or Axew – and journey through infinite dungeons, battle and befriend other Pokemon, collect treasures and explore the game's vast, beautiful world – all in amazing 3D. In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, there are many labyrinths called Mystery Dungeons that change their form every time a player enters. Pokemon, items and treasure within a Mystery Dungeon will change location every time a player re-enters.

Players can gain access to additional Mystery Dungeons through "Magnagates." To open the Magnagates, players scan circular objects in the real world using the Nintendo 3DS Camera, allowing them to continue their adventure, even after they have completed the main Mystery Dungeons.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity also introduces wireless multiplayer features to the series. More details on this functionality will be shared in the future.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity will be available in retail stores, and also as a download from the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS.

NES runs great. SNES works really well for the vast majority of games, but isn't perfect, and struggles with a few (the emulators that run on just the ds are kind of bad, but the dstwo has a much better one, fortunately). A bit of frame skipping is usually required to get a lot of gba games to run at full speed, but if you can deal with that, it does work well with few issues.

The ds is a really weak system, which makes emulation tricky, even for such old consoles, but it's still really nice to be able to play them on all on a single hand held.
