LUCT beats the pants off of FFT, not even a contest and Wild Arms: XF has WAY more customization options to it.
Seeing as you don't even know what the games are... your opinion is the irrelevant one.

You'd need to actually play SRPGs to have an opinion on them rather than fanboy it up with Final Fantasy (though FFT is a decent SRPG)

You must be kidding.
FFT is one of the easiest SRPGs I have EVER played.

You can easily run a single class and get through, there's so many FFT SSCC games out there that I don't even know how you think this isn't possible.

also seeing how wild arms was always a c-list series anyway, nobody has ever said hey have you played (insert any wild arms game here) its the best game ever. so not unusual that ive never heard of it.

im trying to make the argument that any argument i have ever heard about srpgs, wild arms was never mentioned once and if you can't tell by how much i just annoyed you, i get in a lot of arguments. which means either a. nobody's heard of it or b. nobody wants to have heard of it. the fact that your so dismissive instead of saying why its so good also tells me its not worth talking about. regardless, in my many arguments fire emblem has been mentioned... a lot. though its usually not top tier or worth buying a 3ds, tho i'll prolly play it eventually.

The problem with this is that they have been making two non-special-edition and non-bundle-related neutral colors since the launch of the XL. I'm not even talking about any sort of special editions. However, they just decided to simply not load any white or silver units with North American firmware. There would have been very little cost involved in granting this region to a neutral color and instead they gave us one less than everyone else. I'm not sure how your experience with product testing regarding special editions explains that.

Can you tell my what market possible research could lead them to give Europe Red/Blue/Silver (two colors and a neutral), Japan Red/Silver/White (one colors and two neutrals), and North America Red/Blue (two colors only)? Why wouldn't they go for the third combination of Blue/White/Silver or Red/White/Blue(lol)? They just didn't want to have to switch up the assembly line to put English stickers on a run of white cases?

I am aware that I'm in the minority (along with my best friend who is also waiting on a neutral color or possible New Leaf edition before buying an 3DS), but shit doesn't quite add up and it seems like an odd move for them to create an imbalance with launch colors... and then to follow up this region with another non-neutral color that almost exclusively appeals to one gender. I'm just hoping the unexpected and great success of New Leaf and its special edition bundle makes them want to release it with the same confidence here.

I think my comment was somehow misinterpreted as a defense of Nintendo doing what they do. To make it a little more clear, I think it's stupid. My only point was that the reason they don't diversify with more colors, special editions, and the like, is because they've just worked out over the years that it isn't worth it somehow. The more colors they put out, the thinner they spread their sales, and the more units end up languishing on the shelves.

I have no idea why it works in Europe, or why they just don't care, we don't deal with NoE.

it's a lot of this. in america we tend to buy one unit. and the more options we make the more of other colors just sit on the shelves. it's why most consoles we barely get any color options while oversees they get many as well. this is true for both sony and nintendo alike, it's only now we're getting a few limited edition colored ps3 units.
