It's the top down perspective style, it looked very simple but already showed some interested new mechanics. They said a 3D trailer will be posted on the eshop for it.

Funny how the 3DS went to being a failure with no games and now has a pretty massive library of games.

Using your mallet expends mana, but it's okay because your mana refills over time.

THEN WHY DOES THE MALLET NEED MANA

Animal Crossing: New Leaf 3DS XL bundle coming to U.S. on June 9 for $219.99

Level 5 International To Release Three Title From Japan noly Collection Guild02 in North america and Europe
Renowned Japanese video game company Level 5 will bring three new games to North America and Europe this spring via the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS. The three titles - The Starship Damrey, Busgs vs. Tanks! and Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale - were previously released in Japan as part of the Guild02 collection, and continue Level 5’s commitment to empowering the greatest game creators with the artistic freedom to design ground-breaking titles unavailable for release elsewhere.

“After the success of bringing Liberation Maiden, Aero Porter, and Crimson Shroud to North America and Europe last year, we are excited to bring the latest games in the series to the rest of the world with the participation of three new creators,” said Akihiro Hino, President and CEO of Level 5. “This series was created to allow top creators to rise to the challenge of bringing innovative and experimental ideas to life as new gaming experiences. Delivering these avant-garde creations via digital distribution is also an incredible opportunity for us.”

Each title will be available for individual download via the Nintendo eShop. Additional details about North American and European release dates and pricing for each of the titles will be released soon.

    The Starship Damrey

The Starship Damrey is an adventure/horror/suspense game designed by Kazuya Asano and written by Takemaru Abiko, known as pioneers of text-based adventure games in Japan. In the game, players awaken to discover that they are trapped in a Cold Sleep capsule aboard the titular Starship Damrey, with no memory of who they are or how they got there. With no tutorials, explanations, or hints provided, the game was created with the intent that self-discovery and experimentation be an integral part of the experience. An inconceivable truth awaits those willing to discover it.

    Bugs vs. Tanks!

Comcept’s Keiji Inafune have brought him international fame and acclaim, introduces Bugs vs. Tanks!, an action shooter set in World War II. Players will take on the role of a WWII panzer squad that has been shrunk to the size of a bug and find themselves engaged in heated battles against swarms of giant insects as they cling to the hope of returning to normal size.

Featuring tanks pulled straight from the history books, players can customize the body, turret, and paint to obliterate the bugs in their own style. In addition, Bugs vs Tanks! offers co-op missions with up to four friends and the ability to call for friendly cover fire via StreetPass.

Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale

Millennium Kitchen’s Kaz Ayabe is known for mesmerizing many Japanese fans with his heartwarming stories in the Boku no Natsuyasumi series . In Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale, he introduces for the first time, a Tokyo-life simulation game where players will take the role of a young boy named Sohta who lives where the giant monsters from the TV shows of Japan's 1970s come to life every Friday. In this rustic town of tranquil days and idyllic scenery, there lies a nostalgic tale sure to warm your heart. Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale will be the first of Kaz Ayabe’s games to be released outside of Japan.

Am I the only person who dislikes the style of the new Zelda?

It's very lifeless, and bland. It's almost like RPG-maker-esque. Reminds me a lot of Final Fantasy Dimensions. It doesn't have the quality I'd expect from a Zelda title. I find the Minish Cap to look better, and that was on the GBA.

Also the top-down camera angle isn't helping me any. It looks like an indie game?

I kind of agree with you, but I'm still looking forward to it.

I'm guessing the game's development has been relatively short, and was likely farmed out to a smaller development team like they did for Ocarina of Time 3D. Wouldn't be surprised it was the same team as OOT3D, which means they've only had a year or so to make the game.

So Bravely Default and LttP are going to get me to pick one of these up. Any other lesser known gems on this device to warrant buying before next year? Or maybe there will be a zelda or BD bundle... hmmm...

Looks like I'll be blowing the dust off my 3DS this holiday season. New Zelda will be a nostalgia bomb and newness at the same time. Just watching that video and how the trees look similar (with those damn annoying birds on them) and the hammer. I hope the maps are full of secrets as Link to the Past's were. Becoming a drawing looks really cool too.

All I need now is a new 2D Metroid game.
