Hearing the Gateway is $80 though, and even as a buyer of the spendy CycloDS I don't know that I can justify that...

Maybe just not immediately I guess I should have said. I have never had any problems with my CycloDS and that was regarded as overpriced as well, and ultimately it did stop getting supported. We will see. At this point I think I would be more likely to go the Supercard route and just migrate my Cyclo games. It will be interested to see if there ends up being a Supercard or Acekard version once it is released.

I don't know about all this "we've hacked the 3ds", don't they have yet to hack DSi games? and most importantly, they didn't show anything, only a youtube vid about some cloned cartridges, smells like a money grab, more so at that price.

IMO that's just bull and the only thing it does is clone the carts themselves which involves no hacking at all and that's why it doesn't run homebrew/break region lock/can't save games

There's a couple DS flash carts that support DSi 'enhanced mode' games. No one's cracked the DSiWare stuff to my knowledge though. Anyways, as always, let others be the guinea pig, while the Chinese market reverse engineer the exploit and release their own $20 knock-off.

Hopefully Nintendo will be a little more on the ball when it comes to attempting to stop manufacturing/shipping of these carts, unlike the DS where the damage was already done by the time they stepped in.

How come I can't find a copy of the EU version of 999 anywhere for a reasonable price? cheapest I can find is the US version for 20 pounds including shipping (is it worth it at that price?), the EU version goes for 38-40~. Same with SMT: Strange Journey, shit's absolutely ridiculous, ranges 60-80 GPB/USD/EUR.

EDIT: Just realized 999 wasn't released in the EU, I was thinking the first cover was EU and the second one was US.

First party can be. If you look around though you can usually find good deals on games. Amazon Warehouse can be your best friend.

Doubt it, that means it would have to detect the exploit, and if they can detect the exploit they'd just fix it to begin with.

And it has already been blocked, apparently, by the latest firmware update. Though I would think people willing to spend $80 on a cart, would know better than to update to the latest firmware until there is a fix.

Got a great deal in the uk.£155 for 3dsxl and Layton mask of Miracle. They normally go for £149 in asda so a good game for a sweet price.
