Meh Kid, people don't care about efficiency and accuracy overall as long as they can theoretically do more DMG than another BLM. Just look at the amount of people who took Static over Magnetic.

Find someone that doesn't have a single piece of 75 gear on and doesn't have any outstanding upgrades to be made to their gear. Yeah, FFXI is absolutely horrible with appropriately itemizing gear for the level, but here's to hoping they learn. I'm sure as hell not using a lv59 body piece to get to 99.

No it's not completely dead, but you've given people a comparable alternative that costs maybe a mere fraction of the cost & effort needed to get the item.

How many people were still holding onto failed augments solely with the hopes of being able to reverse it one day? And in 2 months? The point of progressing the level cap isn't so that you can just press a button and fucking scale your current gear up. It's to actually add new content to this 8 year old game, be it from reskinning or whatever, it's still in some way new. People have been fucking screaming and threatening for new content for how long? Now they get something that is even marginally better than the shit they've had for 4 years and they refuse to even consider the notion that what they have is now obsolete.

I have no problem with replacing my old gear. I worked hard for some of the stuff I have, but I like getting new gear and having new goals. I just think it's too early to be burning the morri robes.

On a more serious note:

SE said out loud and then posted in writing that they plan to let people upgrade their equipment as part of the magians. (They didn't say all of it, however so we all have to either wait of gamble by tossing it when it isn't being used.)

You did realize that the fully upgraded relics are no longer 75, but 80, and based upon SE's comments may have at least 1 more upgrade round after this update? Is this too hard to grasp that, for example, an ebody or usu body or morrigans will be fully upgraded to level 90 or even 99?

Nobody really is. RDM can't wear the new, clearly superior, nuking body anyways.
