No mention of the hate from blue equivalents nerfed right? Blu sleeps (soporific and sheep song) and dispel (blank gaze) have the same enmity values. /blu can replace /rdm for pld on stuff like JoL or ouryu. The only thing that will be badly effected is rdm/nin if the nerf is severe enough.

wasn't NINs roll to NOT get hit? why do they need an ATTACK down enfeeble? silence, even defense down would have been acceptble but ATTACK...?
I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that either NIN has quite a few new spells coming its way along the line, or that spell does more than its description is telling us.

and it's ichi, you'll probably get hit while trying to cast the damn thing.
NIN/DRK is by no means dead by this adjustment, especially if they only fiddle the VE part of sleep.
Depending on what this new Ninjutsu does, and the hate it generates, it could replace sleep in the hate cycle.
However, I'm expecting something along the lines of a bio1 level decrease in attack.
On the flip side, it might work on Magic Attack too, which would instantly make NIN "useful" again for the 1st time since 2004 or whenever PLD became "mainstream" and they removed the TP floor.
Also, did no1 else notice that they just "nerfed" the tank they used in the official AV Video?
I guess I just don't see the issue terribly with Aquaveil, but I wasn't a spell interruption rate crazy person when I RDM tanked. I'd throw it on, sure, but typically tried to not let it get to the point where it was an issue.
Or just use an actual blu....
I'm thinking that there are ways around this. Sleep II/Sleep/Dispel/Blind were nice spells to use, and if they even just decrease the hate by a half, the job as a tank is still playable. Now if they reduced the CE to 1 (like all the other RDM Spells), then RDM can resort to using Enspell II's (80 CE) which is 1/4th the effectiveness normally.
With a slight change with the start of each fight, instead of using the MP efficient Sleep/Dispel/Sleep II cycles, instead resort to HP<->MP Conversion gear and use Cure IV for hate.
Especially with the new rings such as Meridia Ring (+90 HP) and Bifrost Ring (70HP<->MP Conversion) along with the old gear such as Gigant Mantle, Bomb Queen etc etc etc, I can find it feasible to be able to create 400 HP to cure yourself (similar to what PLD's do, except you're a RDM, so you have more MP to do it). With a full pool of MP and about 10 Cure IV's + Convert (Not including the convert MP pool), you can hit 50%+ of the CE. (Assuming you have a decent Enmity Set to accompany this). After capping, it shouldn't be to difficult (Unless there is some massive hate reset move-- but then again, RDM's never dealt with that type of thing easily normally anyway)
