Checking the JP side of POL now (NA side is getting hammered atm), but it looks like we're in for least a 2 hour extension at this point. Can someone please confirm?

I got excited when my update finished and the Play button worked. I got to "Connecting to lobby" about 8 times after the intro movie. I gave up when I saw this thread.

Can't get the patch downloaded on PS2 :/ Keeps giving us an error that Datch.txt cannot be downloaded.

You would think that SE would attempt to manage people's expectations after all these years.

I'd rather read
"Server maintenance/update is scheduled for 12:00 PDT through to 17:00 PDT."
and at 15:00 PDT see a "Server maintenance/update has been completed early"
(SE: Yeah we rock. Pat ourselves on the back. We always deliver early for our customers)

Instead of the
"Server maintenance has been extended"
(SE: After all these years of updates and maintenance, we still have no fucking clue what we're doing or how long it will take, and we don't care wtf you customers think either)
