How do you do a file check or do people mean just when you go to play it does file check for you?

after unzipping start just as normal, youll still get "check version", itll do a file check and a file installing, and youre done

Just to add to the thanks cos I know some people had a mardy arse moment earlier on - second version worked perfectly on EU POL, got my laptop updated and ready to go really quickly - compared to my desktop which I've been slogging away at ever since check version went live!

hezzel's didn't work for me. File Check gave me 1600 corrupt files. US client.

[EDIT] Nevermind, that was a local file check. Only need to repair 11 files.

Worked for me thanks so much for this. SE logic is retarded. 5 hour update through POL or 6 min download of this file and this wasnt even an installer.

Somoene mentioned doing the P2P option like the way FF14 alpha is distrubted. Would make much more sense. Ahwell
