Go to C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI (or wherever the hell you have it) and delete patch.sin if you're getting the error. I was 0/4, deleted it then it downloaded in less than a second.

I didnt get the error, but I'm getting "Please wait while windows configures Final Fantasy XI" after i DL'd the 11 files

I dunno wtf, but i did a file check and it said over 6000 files had issues and need to be repaired. so wish i didnt try this

edit: gonna be faster to reinstall XI over dealing w/ fixing this

id use that link and those files at ur own risk, it totally destroyed my XI and i have to uninstall or do a 16k+ file repair

i did a file check before i tried logging on so the files it added are fine, just waiting on the last 400~, possibly extra files for windows vista users since vista blows fat schlong >_<
