Just had a nin leech pull one of the boss slimes. We just sat there and watched for a min then another leech shows up. 30 secs later, they're both dead and we resume.

Again, in my experience it's pointless to go after chests. 1/10 will have coins you need unless you're going after multiple types of coins in which case, you fall into Failure's douchebag category. You have a much higher chance of getting the right coins from the final pool.

I'd say you get an average of 1 bag per 5 chests, if you assume bags are even distribution, that's 1 bag you need per 20 chests averaging some 6-7 coins. Considering you can guarantee yourself a chest in every WoE you enter, that's an average of 1 coin you need per 3 runs. I dunno how you think lotting singles is better than that - in my group of 4, I'm the only one on Coin of Birth, and I've gotten some 3 coins total from lotting singles that drop. I'm currently only at 19 total, which I believe came from 3 bags. But past that, I'm at ~15 Advancement for Victory Smite and ~10 Glory for Ukko's (2 pouches of adv, 1 of glory from personal chests). Anyway, I most definitely don't average 1 Birth per 3 runs (but we only kill the 4 boss slimes via Sac pulls), so chests seem far more important than singles, and personally, I'd rather have someone AFK leeching lotting singles than stealing our chests, but maybe that's just me.

The fact still remains that it is not a 'my shell only' event. If you're running flux 2 then you should expect other people to go.

We all agree with this. We expect people to go. We're just discussing counter-measures and strategies to deal with competition, because that's what you are. You aren't in there helping a group complete it, as much as you try to say you are.

Well speaking of competition, I found a group I wouldn't feel grimey about leeching.

We had our low man set up to do 2, so they pretend they're going to do 2. that being said there was like 20 of them, so I don't want to compete for chest on mnk. I go and change to dnc. So they go to 3 instead and some of the leechers go to 2 or w/e and timer is started and don't feel like changing back to mnk. So may just go to 3 now and lot shit, since they fucked us up and fuck changing back and going into 2 late and not getting a chest either.

Ended up being able to do the run after all. The 2 ppl never started in the zone, but still was a waste of my 20 mins over them fucks after having to change jobs again, so yea. They'll be seeing me in the future, especially considering we were gathered around waiting on the cooldown since before any of them stepped foot in the zone. Why would you have to trick us into going to what we were already planning on doing.

Went in anticipation of others entering. After my group sat there for 15 mins and did nothing while I was changing jobs again (due to the other group) one warped out. The other seems to be a scout for the ls that went in 3. He hasn't done anything, but we'll see if he lots anything.

You are just as likely to see a Pouch in the 1-5 coffers as you are the final pool.
The whole point is to go for the pouches not the singles. Not going for a 1-5 placement is missing out on 50% chance of seeing any pouch at all, let alone the ones in chests you don't have to out lot 900 retards.

Yep that was us. We had just completed flux #5, then idle'd around #2 for awhile before going into #3. One of our mules did go into #2. I'm sorry your small man leech group wasted 20 minutes. Our ls doesn't like outsiders in our WOE fights, and there's little we can do about it since it's a public event.

I'll tell you what. Since you cost me 20 mins, I'll leech 20 mins (worth of time in a treasure pool). So I'll start and end a timer each time I'm viewing/lotting and when my 20 mins is repaid, I'll quit fucking with you guys and maybe you'll think twice before fucking w/ me again.

I'm not looking at it from the aspect of personal profit. If I went there to try and solo coins with the zone showing 0 anyway, just for a group to show up 2 minutes after I started and suddenly feel entitled, yeah I'd be kinda miffed if they made it their purpose to MPK me. Remember, there was a patch, one I'm sure we're all familiar with, designed to curb the grief tactics that MPK caused. As of now, doing so in WoE is pretty much working around a technicality of the scrub mobs being classified NMs.

The system sucks, we get it, but don't pretend to be cool because you'll stoop to lows others wouldn't. Nobody likes wasting time, but being a douche about it doesn't exactly remedy the situation now. Just leaving or slogging it out is the most diplomatic approach, and sometimes actually talking to people might work, too.
