Damn that's a nice beret for soloing...
Damn that's a nice beret for soloing...
its nice when an impossible BC suddenly becomes so easy when u work out the tricks to it lol
to those winning slimes, are ya doing it the same way as my group: everyone camp downstairs at entrance, and send upstairs only your non party sac puller and your party safe puller to bring mega boss ?
Wild speculation: Perhaps confluxes #4-#7 will be turned on once the level cap is raised further?
SE said in this patch specifically that other arenas would be activated as you cleared easier ones so more battlefields should become available as you clear the initial 3.
Yeah its like that with every new event SE releases. The same thing happened with nyzul and salvage, everyone went in there lost and having a clusterfuck until people started to notice patterns and pulling methods lol. I personally remember doing salvage with a full ally which was utter fail.
As far as WoE goes, this event can only be done with an ls or a large group of friends that will work together in the BC and even after with the distribution of the drops. When we won #1 and #3 both times the top 5 chest(which held all of the good drops) went to the 3 aegis plds 1 amano sam and either the apoc drk or highest nuking blm. The chest are claimed only to that person and that person gets the item all to themselves. So unless your in a trustworthly ls that will say who got what and pass the loot around this event wont get done lol. I personally was the puller/holdr and i got about 100-200 exp each time while the main pld got about 1900. While we wouldnt have won if i didnt pull or hold right Se doesnt take that in to account and i basically would get jewed every time. Never to see a chest >.>. With this being said if a people go in only trying to get a chest themselves u will see a bunch of plds and sam/dnc etc etc i.e campaign jobs. Those jobs will def get u a chest but if the whole zone if filled with those jobs you wont beat it to even see a chest in the first place.
Anyway this dumb shit needs to be patched, namely the "anybody can enter". Simply due to the fact that anybody with a high damage job could follow an ls in come in with thier friend who is a dedicated healer go buck wild on every mob that is pulled and possible come out with the #1-#3 chest
Relic holders need a break. Haven't you heard how hard their magian trials are? Their lives are so hard.
Just a guess but maybe WoE was designed with level 99 in mind? Eventually it could be a more casual event, maybe even doable with small groups. So loot distribution among large alliances may not be an issue.
We have everyone camp upstairs. We kite the 4 grenade syrups, and everyone else kills the large VNM slime. Once the VNM silme dies, the grenade syrups with it should also die, so then the next set aggros. The kiters grab the new syrups, and the main group engages the new VNM slime. The new set of 5 will have hate on the ally that killed the first VNM slime, so you can't sac pull those.
To the group that won 1 and 3: how many people did you have, and in what did you do with the VNM mobs when they came in--kite/hold or kill immediately?
So this is a bit sucky, because of the evaluation system, when you clear the BC the system message says to jobs like bard that they are regarded as having poorly performed so get hardly any xp and are not eligible to open chests.
Just beat Slime. Was really easy. Strategy to come.
has anyone unlocked tier2 battlefields?
Conflux #2 - Slimes
We went in with 2 BLM PTs, 1 tank PT and 2 half asses melee parties that were without BRDs. Was incredibly easy when you have 2 people sac pulling.
The setup is strange and from what I could tell, there are originally 2 boss slimes on the top floor. One is straight ahead and one is to the left when you go up the stairs. The bosses are surrounded by 4 stationary Grenade Syrup's. We had a RDM pull the boss and a BLM diaga the Grenade Syrup's. You can run around with the Grenade Syrup's until the boss is safely down the stairs then die. The sac pullers CANT BE IN ALLIANCE.
The big slimes werent too hard. Use sleepga 2 and some AoE moves I guess (I was one of the sac pullers, just reporting what I heard from LS chat and vent). Overall, we had 24 people from LS and a bunch of randoms came and tried to campaign that shit but we yelled at them until they got the point.
When you kill the first big slime, another one will come take its place. Keep pulling bosses in this manner until you kill 4. Grenade Syrup's that are paired with a boss will die off when the boss dies.
Gotta kill the 4 big slimes and you win. The chest pops on the top floor. Sac pullers and most support jobs (RDM, WHM, BRD, COR) did not get to lot or even view the items that dropped due to "lack of participation".
tl;dr: sac pull that shit and its easy.
Most notably they use an AOE that does massive SLOW overwriting HASTE and another AOE doing BIND.some AoE moves
We nearly cleared Room 2 on Friday after everyone had hit 80, we went with 18 and it was pretty easy, we had some randoms follow in and fuck everything up tho, going to try again soon hopefully with our Einherjar group and just destroy the shit out of the zone, because the mobs are not that though and they do not do that much damage.
When the NM readies its AoE that damages(cant remember what the slime does fuck its to early in the morning) it takes a long time for it to get off, long enough for someone you could have lined up in a blade bash, or stun rotation to take care of it no problem.
Adding to Belkin's post above, I came first place and got a few extra items (Phrygian Ore 2x, Hanzo Tekko, Carnelite or something) given to me directly by a box, as well as the title "Torchbearer of the 2nd Walk".
To also add on to Belkin's post about Slimes.
It did a lot of AoE animations for some of it's TP moves, but I never got hit by any AoE damage at all from the Morbid Molasses. I was seriously expecting to take damage when I saw it spin and spew giant red blobs that splashed on the ground, but nothing. I believe the only thing I ever got hit with was the occasional Slowga, Bindga, or Sleepga.
The bosses had a stronger version of Digest. I can't remember the name and I believe it's something similar. I want to say it was single target as I only ever saw one person getting hit by it.
Overall, they were really easy. The little ones I think were more of a problem with AoE damage from Fluid Spreads.
As an 80 BRD doing songs and occasional Cures/Na's/Erase, I earned 770 EXP which was not enough to qualify for the loot box at the end. I'm guessing it's a minimum of 1000 EXP?
Belkin also left out that there was one Berry Syrup off on one of the broken stairs that he pulled. We're not sure what it was for, or did, but it was pretty much immune to melee damage(0 damage from most) if I remember correctly. We kited it around and let the BLMs nuke it down.
Fairly depressing backline jobs get screwed on this as far as non LS groups go.
