1) NONE of the TEMPORARY ITEMS that the Cruor Prospector sells have the TMP icon when you look at them! That was my point! I would check at a Campaign NPC to see if their preview of temporary items have the TMP tags already there or not, but I'm too lazy at the moment. I have a feeling that the TMP icon is only there when it's in your inventory. If it wasn't TEMPORARY, why would it be for sale under TEMPORARY ITEMS?
2) That is the first I have heard of it.
3) It's not history repeating itself. It's you arguing that it MIGHT repeat itself (for the first time?)
4) I already did and I'm not here to make wild Alaspeculations. I'm here saying that all logic & signs point to "unlikely" simply because it's a TEMPORARY ITEM, which you do not believe.

I really find it hard to believe you collect 2 million of anything in this game for anything other than a relic class weapon, lol.

Anyways SE has done this time and time again -- released "blank" items (in the .DATs) and corresponding items to accompany Relic and Mythic, then in subsequent updates, they finished it with a full release. Empyrean Weapons are no different (as you can see, so far they are all blank). I can see then dropping those x50 requirements to 20-30 as well.

This is something that's been bugging the shit out of me. On the wiki it lists a bunch of these Abyssites (are they the ancient ones?) that give you uber buffs, and Atma as well, as being temp key items... but do they even go away?


I'm thinking that this is what SE meant by Abyssea being a challenge and rewarding gear "with the least of fuss" - It starts out rough but once you get going it becomes a breeze. Some of the Abyssite powers are really nice too like the extra EXP from the Bee NM in La Theine.

You're in serious denial if you think this isn't for an empyerian weapon trail for later.
I didn't want to believe you need 100,000 ampoules 150,000 tokens 50,000 alexandrites(toned down to 30,000) 100 assaults done 3 Toau king Odin win and 100 floor nyzul isle win when mythics first came out, but here we are.

You forgot 3 drops from ZNM Tier4 that have a low drop rate, and you can possibly lose them. Not that anyone should fail the BC, but DC's do happen.

Heck, I still can't believe Mythics are harder, but still weaker, to get than a Relic. Gonna waste 90mil on a Mythic (who cares if you didn't pay that much, still wasting 90mil worth of alexandrite)? Should have pushed a little further and got a Relic. You'll even save yourself 6~12 months worth of events you don't have to do. Unless your job has no Relic option or a WHM.

With the other 2 Abyssea expansions on the way, level 99. I still think there will be alot more added to be able to fully finish these empyrean relics. And since we are only level 80 of 99, they magian quests will be much harder than 50 gems.

I fully expect the 2mil brew to give a status icon that either builds up new currency with kills along side cruor/atma, or from NM kills only, or is a prerequisite to popping some super HNM once, so you better kill it. The fact that it is a temp item for use only in Abyssea just makes me think "it's not over, fuck what else do I have to do"

Are you dense? Let me spell it out again.

Temporary items DO NOT receive the TMP (temporary) tag when you are viewing them through an NPC. The TMP icon only appears after the item has appeared in your inventory.

When you view the temporary items you can purchase, whether it's from a Cruor Prospector, a Nyzul Isle lobby chest, a Campaign NPC, or whatever, IT WILL NOT SAY TMP even though we all know they are temporary.

Someone got that Primeval Brew screenshot from speaking to the Cruor Prospector while viewing the purchasable TEMPORARY ITEMS.

Obviously there is no proof that it's not a temp item, but there is also no proof that it is one. Saying it is one just cause other items off the same NPC are is retarded. We will know when someone buys it.

I agree it could go either way, but even though it's a different NPC the Nyzul Isle Mythic item (150k tokens) is not tmp, even though all other token items are.

So there is evidence for either side of the argument.

I said it's "unlikely" that it's used as a catalyst for Empyrean because of it's ease of loss. That is all~ The price is the only thing that makes it seem linked to any sort of mythic/relic/etc system. That's really all there is.

Still, 2,000,000 Cruor is nowhere near Alexandrite or Ancient Currency requirements. So, in fact it has nothing in common with the relic weapon system, and only something in common with the original easy mythic requirements.

It could be both btw, temp item you use to activate your final stage emp weapon, and if you dont have it its all like "you were unable to use the item"

I got a Lucid Ether I last night, never used it. Went back into Abyssea today and it appeared again in my inventory.

I have received temp items, like that double-ranged-attack one, and obviously never used it on PUP and I haven't seen it since I left that visit. Is this carry-over something that only occurs with temp items received from Cruor Prospectors and/or out of blue chests? The instances I'm speaking of were always temp items received upon killing an enemy as I haven't got any from the other two means...

3k cruor is worth 100k - 66.6mil gil potential wasted
3k cruor is worth 50k - 33.3mil gil potential wasted
3k cruor is worth 20k - 13.3mil gil potential wasted
3k cruor is worth 5k - 3.3mil gil potential wasted

If items get that cheap, I'd rather just spend the gil that farm up all that cruor. Don't kid yourself, that is a lot of cruor even if it is easy to farm up. Or until newer versions of abyssite come out that boost cruor by more %.

Still with all the other future purchases, I don't think 2mil cruor will ever be a "drop in the bucket" for a while.

imo, this seems like the "Ampoules from Einherjar for Mythic" part of Empyrean. You get free ampoules every run and 100k takes a few months to obtain. So over time, anyone who is anyone can get the eyepatch, but maybe you wanted a few 15k items or 5k craft items 1st.
