Only used it two times but, Fell Cleave on IT wanderers in promyvion did 450 first time at 75 and then 600~ at 76. RR was doing 1000~ or so average, peaking at 1800.
Refulgent Arrow is comparable with and sometimes better than Sidewinder, when you use it at high TP values. The base DMG must scale up pretty dramatically.
At low TP values it's comparable to Arching Arrow non-crits and better than Emperyal. Nice alternative if you can't chance a Sidewinder for whatever reason.
Numbing Shot, however, has lousy damage which is no better than Detonator and does not scale at all with high TP values.![]()
Well, the emnity test could validate the difference in the damage on the first picture. Assuming that the first bird was the one the pt was fighting, and the second one was the next one awaiting to be fought. That could account for it.
Very interesting mechanic that we haven't seen before. Props to SE for thinking up new things.
Might want to see if some of the weaponskills get a bonus against certain monster families as well. Also, aren't magical weaponskills boosted by magic attack bonus gear? Granted, I doubt that will save them unless their modifiers are ridiculously potent...

Too Weak target, but seems to do consistent dmg over 1k.
It's also a very narrow conal, could be likened to a Wyrm's breath move. A Stray only just to my right didn't get hit but ones directly infront did.
Sanguine Blade seems like it is most likely dark element along with drain. I did 15 damage with it to a bat on what was most likely a resist.
Was spamming ageha's to figure out why it was crap, and I suddenly went through a serious of decent numbers. *Kurodachi OAT weapon usually 500-700 gekko's* It seemed if I wasn't the one with hate, it would do more dmg, but useless speculation is useless.

Maybe Sonic Thrust has an average fTP modifier(like around 2.5-3.0) but has a high Attack value like Ground Strike/Spiral Hell/Gekko/Mandalic Stab/Howling Fist?
Also, Tornado Kick -> Gekko is Fragmentation, and Vorpal Blade -> Tornado Kick is Detonation.
I'm no expert on SC properties, but as far as I can tell this should put it in the same places as Yuki on the WS charts, and give it Induration and Detonation properties? And meaning Snow and Breeze gorgets improve it.
It's doing some nice numbers with Footwork, especially at 300%. But even without footwork and at 100% it's at least on a par with Asuran Fists, using my Dragon Kick setup.
Uncertain, but as far as I can tell, it's STR/VIT mod much like every other MNK WS. Possibly higher mods than Dragon Kick.
I seen a DRG last night doing consistent 700-1k+ Sonic Thrust damage to Tammuz, the new T2 VNM. Like 90% of the ally was JPN so I couldn't ask him what his WS gear was, but it's obviously capable of good/decent damage on fairly strong mobs.
If I could read JP I would c heck Studio Gobli, they always test new stuff fairly quick.
There is something odd with Infernal Scythe..... on Kuftal/Teriggan Robber Crabs as DRK76, I keep doing 295 damage in haste gears
*Edit: Just tried IS with Last Resor and STR/attack gear, damage done was 321

with STR 69 +60 and 578 attack, IS does 323 damage......
I guess no one cares, but I think Blade:Yu is a 100% magical WS.
I only used it 4 times (2 TW tigers in battalia downs and 1 EM lizzard in Abyssea and one VT Bird @76 in MMM), and every time I got 5Tp return and it always did 230ish damage, which is surprising given the level difference (and no, I'm not missing second hit because mob died before I landed it, all of the survived my WS).
Since I'm not getting a 2 hit Tp return, I think it's magical. Guess more testing will be needed, but I think it could give this WS some uses.
290 Katana skill and lv 76 to unlock it (maybe a bit less katana)
refulgent isnt too bad, Ive been calling it halfwinder. It seems much more accurate than sidewinder and still does respectable damage. (approx 1100 to MMM flying mobs at 75). Sidewinder does 1800, namas does 1000-1100. I havent had any misses on it yet so it seems like a good alternative to doing damage other than risked damage.
