One thing that could explain it nermie is if Joachim is able to hold 11 stones for you.

Supposed he was holding 11 stones for you:

1) Friday 4hrs EST picked up 3 stones -> He is now holding 8
Saturday 00hr EST-> 20 hrs have passed -> he is now holding 9 stones
Saturday 20hrs EST -> 20 hrs have passed -> he is now holding 10 stones

2) Sunday 16hrs EST picked up 3 stones -> He is holding 7 stones
Sunday 16hrs EST -> 20 hrs have passed -> he is now holding 8 stones

3) Monday 3hrs EST picked up 3 stones -> he is now holding 5 stones
Monday 12hrs EST -> 20 hrs have passed -> he is now holding 6 stones

4) Monday 23hrs EST picked up 3 stones -> He is now holding 3 stones

Anyone have any experience fighting the Sturdy Pyxie mimics scattered around the zones? I just unlocked a quest in Konschtat which leads me to believe I need to fight these things for a key item. I'm wondering if I should bother with less than 30min of visitant status left and what it would take to take them down efficiently. Or well, any info is appreciated.

The mimics all vary in difficulty. Some can be soloed by Pld, others almost raped our ally due to constant draw in/30 range death trap. No way to tell the difference, as appearance doesn't equal difficulty.

Killed one for the lulz in la theine, took about 10 minutes with 2 MNKs as damage. They have either regain or extremely high stp and spam death trap, negating any decent melee damage. Didn't get a good gauge of magic damage. Got 1k exp and every person in the alliance got a HQ besieged drink(revits, aoe fanatics, aoe fools, all very nice ones).

For ppl that still cant understand or havent catch this till now:
a) You can have 3(4) stones in your possesion
b) Whenever you use a stone you can get new one from npc (if he has any on him)
c) Its possible to wait 160h then get 3 stones use them get 3 new immidietly after and use them and get another 3 etc.
d) Highest number of stones stacked on NPC so far noticed was 9 ( I belive ) but that doesnt mean thats 9 is a cap of stones he can hold thats only a highest number anyone provided so far.

A lot of the discussion on this page was about how many stones Nermie has been able to get from the NPC within a short time span. Hes picked up about 15+ stones since Friday.

Edit: To Nermie, your original d/c in Konschtat sounds like the game treated it as if you had zoned out of Abyssea without getting visitant status. If you zone in and leave before getting visitant status, you lose any time you have stored up.

Visitant time math granted from the NPC doesn't seem like it always adds up to me. This weekend I did a bugard exp run. We got only a few time chests and I ended up timing out of the zone. I had one stone on hand. Now we go again last night and I have two stones to use at the NPC. When I enter and speak to them he tells me I have 20 minutes of leftover time. That makes absolutely no sense to me. How is it possible to have 20 remaining minutes after timing out of the zone?

I do possess the abyssites of sojourn and avarice but I don't think they should be causing such a thing.

Maybe today's maint will fix them finally? Last night was on a pretty good run but we didn't start seeing TE until just over the 2 hour mark (we'd lost 3 people by then damn it) and despite all our best efforts not a single ruby light from killshots, only the odd red chest that popped.

Which just means he didn't use his stones 12.5+ days. It's nothing new, it's not a glitch. The NPC just keeps storing up one stone every 20 hours whether or not you use any or pick any up from him. My friend has 20+ saved up, who cares?

People were trying to figure out if there was a max. The current high was 9 stones being held. If Nermie has gotten 12-15, that means its the highest reported number stored. Just because your friend hasn't picked up 20 stones doesn't mean the npc has 20 to give him; unless, of course, the storage max is 20 or above. I care.

I had a similar (or maybe not-so-similar) situation happen to me. Basically the game kicked me out every 30 mins despite the NPC telling me I had more time remaining. It confused the hell out of me.

I ended up fixing it by having to enter abyssea repeatedly until all of my time ran out, which sucks because:
1) you can't do much in 30 min intervals (well, you could but you'd still be bugged)
2) you cant re-enter for an hour, despite having left-over time

Also - I'm still somewhat confused on how carryover time is handled. Let me draw a scenario:

Saturday - Entered with 99 mins pre-charged. Added a stone for 120 mins. No time extensions. Exited with 32 mins remaining.
Sunday - Entered after someone told me that you *could* charge carryover time (before I experienced that you could NOT add more than 120 mins per a session). Despite my hopes, I could NOT charge any stones.
Monday - Got told once again that I was wrong and it is possible. Entered and NPC let me charge stones. /cheers for not having to let my carry over time run out.

The only difference is I charged my time in another zone (which from what I'm told shouldn't matter). I usually have a grasp on the more complicated things SE throws at us, but this is really kicking my butt.

Also: It didn't matter if I tried to charge stone first, or got visitant and then charged stone, the result was the same.
