Clear Demilune Abyssite appears to be the Abyssea version of Clear Abyssite outside.

Cruor Prospector: Certain monsters in Abyssea loathe contact with people, concealing themseles from detection. Only with this abyssite will you be able to uncloak and confront them. Go into a crouch with it in our possession, and he way will be revealed to you.

300 cruor - Perhaps this is how you pop those 6 mobs in the 3 zones for the Empyrean weapons.

Kukulkan - Kukulkan Fang (i think? maybe it was another item)
Fistule - Fistule Discharge

Abyssea - La Thiene:
Briareus - Helm of Briareus
Carabosse - Carabosse's Gem

Before I go reading all this info, can Abyssea be solo'd in a way that you can eventaully do/get everything a party/ally can?

Don't know how helpful this post will be since I took no screen shots but we went in Abyssea Konschtat last night and fought a Rafflesia NM called Rojhnovik (or something like that). The fight was really easy until it hit 50% and it began spamming an AOE charm which lasted a good couple minutes or so. Kited each time on WHM (herald's ftw) and we eventually killed it. Dropped a sick BST cape and a cape with crit dmg+ and enmity+5, and two Rojhnovik vines (or however its spelled). This guy was already up both times we went in, but we didn't have enough time to kill it the first time.

Found Fistule at the zone to Valkurm but like others have said we could not target him. Noticed a Sturdy Pixis which turned into a mimic near him. We tried to kill thinking it might let us target him but we ran out of time.

Popped with Quivering Eft Egg and Cluckatrice Tail Meat. Spammed Baleful Gaze at the start, then switched to Hammer Beak at low HP. Poison Pick gave a 140hp/tic poison. (Roughly)

Quivering Eft Egg is dropped from Abas. Abas is popped from Eft Egg found on Canyon Efts. Casts Waterga3, Flood, Poisonga2 and seems to favor Toxic Spit (seemed to Toxic Spit randomly, not based on hate). The ??? and Efts are found East of base camp.

Cockatrice tailmeat dropped off Cluckatrice around the ??? for Alectryon.

This guy was up in the zone when we entered. Works like Shikigami Weapon, appears on Wide Scan but is invisible. You aggro him by getting into yellow HP or lower. When he aggros, he does an attack that goes through shadows (the 3000 dmg or so), it did ~900 damage to a Paladin w/ Sentinel up. Seemed to favor Animating and Fortifying Wail when we fought him. Without his weapons, he seems to Triple Attack frequently.


Pop items, or at least, Cockatrice tailmeat, can be Auction House'd. The Manananggal's Necklets can only be bazaared. And no, that ring does not have any immeaditely visible hidden effects.

One of the items required to pop the NM at ???#13. I was the one who traded the pop item to the ???, no one else got the key item. No THF was in the ally.

When we figured this out we went to try to get the other two, Wivre didnt drop the pop item so its not 100% but dropped the +4 Enmity ring instead, didnt think to SS the treasure pool but managed to scroll up for it.

EDIT: Guess i should go into a bit more detail for this guy. Pretty simple, he always used Blood boil > Crippling slam back to back, when he does the first, second is right after. VERY easy to stun when you see him do this. Crippling slam has a pretty huge radius and managed to one shot our whm, and almost kill a few others. Once we had stuns down though he was a joke.
EDIT2: Traded an armored dragon horn to ???#9, drops from the wivres around there.

Didnt wanna hang around waiting for ??? to repop, went to eyes but timed out before popping the NM there.

Just to add to this, capes were: Cavaros Mantle(enmity +5 increases critical hit dmg WAR THF DRK RNG NIN COR PUP DNC) and Ferine mantle(chr +4 dex +4 acc+7 Pet acc +10 BST only) Sorry for no pics. DC'd right as it was killed and forgot to take pics of gear.

We just opened a red chest that contained a faint Ebon Light. Didn't notice anything different after opening the chest.

We tried Chasmic Hornet, which is just to the West of Conflux #3 in La Theine. Our stun-light meleeburn setup didn't hold up too well against frenzy pollen but we found it extremely easy to kite around the trees and walls nearby. Could easily be killed by a few mages I'd say.

I just spent 90 minutes in La Theine. Started out with three of us and dropped to 2. Monday we should have our group of 5 (and maybe a 6th by then) going through again for 90 minutes.

Took 40 screenshots during it. Once I go through and take notes from them, I'll make a better post with my thoughts.

Had a gain of 3.5k XP (after subtracting 3-4 deaths) and ~650 Cruor. We were mostly going for confluxes and POSing the glowing mobs. Once we have the POSs and can confirm they're fairly static (doing this on Monday with what I gathered already), we should be able to set up a camp or a path to follow for maximum Crour.

I got Confluxes 1-3 and 6. The POS for #4 is incorrect. I could not find it at all. I timed out while looking for #5.

Once I get confluxes 7-8 I will focus on the map. Hopefully it won't take me too long...

One other thing to note before I finish editing screenshots and go to bed: I unlocked a chest that said 'The chest is aglow from within with a feeble soothing light.' After unlocking it, it healed my HP. I was full so I'm not sure how much it would've healed if the tank was closer. (They were fighting next mob while I unlocked).

Uh, we've been going in for 30 minutes at a time, and I think I've got like 1500? cruor or so.

I just left abyssa highlands and found another piece to the puzzle There is a ??? spot North from i - 11 where the blazing bounds mob. That says you sense an aura of boundless rage and asks for fragrant treant petal, fetid rafflesia stalk, decaying morbol tooth, turbid slime oil, and a venomous peiste claw. Obviously all these items have to drop from the NMs in the zone. But the bigger question is WHAT DOES IT POP????? Sorry no pics i was alone soloing blazing bound on blu then looking around before my time ran out.... ; ;

~4500 for 1.5 hrs, had no clue what we were doing at the start. Could probably do 3k/30min if that was your only goal, maybe even 4k/30min.

Just went in to Aby-Kon to try and work on this quest I got on first day "Rose on the Heath" Suppose to take key item linkpearls to 3 different camps. Was only able to find 2 unfort.

Argus was at D-7 in that little finger of land. There was also another guy, Talib, who gave me the quest "Shady Business Redux". He wanted 4 limule pincers.

Further on running toward Valk, found the next camp of npcs near the leeches (pretty sure near G-5). Helga was lead there. While there, Cleades gave me the quest "The Soul of the Matter". In the crates next to him you were able to get a Soulgauger SGR-1 and buy up to 12 gauger plates for 5 cruor a pop.

Was unable to find the next camp so if anyone has spotted Rashid's camp please let me know!

Also Naji was hanging out at the corner of I/J-5 (looked like he cast invisible on himself lol). There was a martello there and another box to buy blank plates from.
