Dropped from an NM Mandy (forgot the name), popped from a ??? around H-8 in Abyssea-Mea. Had 4 tp moves, all AOE and 10': TP down (to 0), max MP down, max HP down, and a bad-breath type move that inflicts ~12/tick poison, paralyze, silence, plague and amnesia. Max MP down and Max HP down tp moves get stronger as the NM gets lower on HP; at 10%, it was bringing our taru PLD down to ~200 max HP.

Pop item was Alkaline Humus, drops from the black mandies around the pop spot. The NM also dropped a jar of Acidic Humus, though no idea what it does yet.

Just went to La Thiene - Abyssea, we mainly focused on getting our tele-thingies, but ended up doing that a NM killing spree, 10 ppl, 90mins. We poped a NM gigas named Adamastor with a shield thropy; droped a Nifty Mantle. Killed Mangi-tailed Marvin, got x2 Marvin pelts, Addler Ring and Orison Cape. Killed Piasca for the Siegnuer Shield, Chasmic Hornet for Dragon meat (WTF?) Chasmic stingerx2 and Terebellum Mantle. Last but not least poped Trudging Thomas (NM ram) with a pop item droped from the rams, I can't remember the name... Drops were Fortis Mantle only... Can't remember the <pos> for all at all, I was mainly Wide Scaning with no map following someone on autofollow :/. Set was WAR/WHM/COR/RNG/DRK/SAM RDM/BLMx2/TH4. We also managed to get 7/8 of the tele-thingies activated.

I got you. Acidic Humus and Venemous Scorpion Stinger are used to spawn something at around F-7. The stingers are dropped from nearby scorpions in the area, very easy to kill, we were 1/1. Let me know what you end up popping w/ the humus + stinger combo at F-7.

Just did a quicky 30 minute run in La Theine.

Randomly killing birds when Piasa spawned next to us and gave it a shot. Has a pretty high En-Aero that was hitting for 30~50 with Shell V and Baraera. Damnation Dive seems to have a hate reset? We had a PLD/NIN tanking it who ate a Dive at one point. It immediately turned to the DRG who Super Jumped. It then turned to the THF. THF ate a Dive and died before the PLD's stun wore off and he got hate back.

Thought I'd toss that in there. No idea if it's been mentioned.

I makes me sad that there isn't much tahrongi info yet =\

Tahrongi Conflux #3 is located in the bottom of F-9, and it's an NPC encampment.
Tahrongi Conflux #4 is around the top left corner of H-11

One quest "His box" something, is started in the lobby camp, and to complete it you need to travel to the conflux #3 camp.

There is a quest you can get at THAT camp, where you need to mine up a bone, then bring it back. You are given a normal pickaxe, but I recommend bringing some extra. Haven't found any excavation points yet, was only able to check the G/F-11 bones, and saw nothing at the time.

In that area however, both times I've been in there, I've seen a glowing Limule. My friend I was with got the Viridian Destiny item off it. And of course as seen in earlier posts, the Titan model mob roams that section of the map.

By the way, that Surprise-Buttsex Qutrub NM can pop extremely close to Base Camp. Popped on me right between the two NPCs fighting Clionids. It caught up to me with Hermes' Sandals as well.

For the hardened bone for the NPC in tahrongi, the excavation points to obtain it can be found in front of where the cave holding the stone monument is. Forgot exact position, but its in the northwest corner or so, left of mer. mountains zone.

If you need any distinguishing figures, look for a large skull with one of those tall cacti poking out of it.

I tried mining for the bone but just got a bone chip and broke the pickaxe -,-

Some info on Tahrongi Quests:

• Weapons, Not Worries
  Client - Peshi Yohnts following the left wall. If you see hecteye mobs you're on the right path. Looking at normal Tahrongi map, POS would be E-9)
  Bring Pickaxes for this. She wants to excavate a Hardened Bone. Just head to the bones in top NW spot of the map (near turtles) to excavate. Like I said, bring Pickaxes. Trade the Hardened Bone to Peshi Yohnts for 100 cruor.
• His Box, His Beloved
  Client - Apururu (Main base camp)
  Talk to Apururu then head to the same camp Peshi Yohnts is at. Speak to Kopuro-Popuro. After that, talk to his lovely box. Then start spamming /smile /cheer or /joy. Will take quite a bit of spam. After enough, checking box gives a Starfruit. Take it back to Apururu for 200 cruor.

When a quest hands you any type of tool for gathering a quest item, like a Hatchet, Pick Axe or Sickle, always bring 50 extra.... I learned this from AMK <_<

We couldn't get the quest from Apururu to start. Wondered if it was nation specific or something. We tried Holla first, didn't pick up any quests and then went to mea the day after. Mea is associated with windy in Abyssea from the flag that was in camp and none of our group were windurstian.
