If you think that Square would ever let us accumulate in game points in a fair manner to spend towards a reward you're crazy. They haven't learned anything from Assault. It's going to be the usual drop rate that is so low and highly desired you won't ever get it because the random dice roll program does not wish it so.
Square would never let you get floor 100 clear then add reasons to have said clear patches later. No sir.
Yeah, that was dumb (from their standpoint). At least it still required you to do some ws points.
Although if the choice was to program it into Nyzul or just make it a simple weapon skill quest... I can see why they would do what they did.
Well, it's not so simple either way it seems.
AF3 necks?
I dunno unless the zones released alongside AF3 gear have shit tonnes of NMs, considering you would need 5 pieces of gear per job, thats a helluva lot of stuff to have dropping.
I don't see them being all straight up NM drops. So either A: AF3 will be released 1-2 pieces at a time til lv 99, or maybe dropped off the NQ mobs with super shitty drop rates like you said.
So you'd need to do like, an 18 man alliance for your shell farming exp run style with some TH4 up.
Inb4 it drops from giant gold chests. Wouldn't surprise me coming from SE <_< >_>
They are not "AF3" necks, goddamnit.
Some of them aren't even neckpieces....
I bet you that the base AF3 will be purchasable using Cruor. Hell it's unlikely but Teal, Perle, and Aurore may be the base to it. The base gear is going to be easy easy to get but probable won't look unique initially. Exactly like Empyrean weapons they may even call it Empyrean armor. I'd say with 90% certainty AF3 will be obtained easily but you'll need TotM to actually make it good (this is where the NM kills will come in.)
How many Hardened Bones and Willow Rods are needed to get fame to level 6 in Tahrongi and LTP?
Same goes for Highlands - whatever the spam quest is.
Has anyone killed any of the mimic mobs yet? Could that be an answer to some of the pieces that are still missing?
I doubt anyone has been killing many of them they are kind of a pain.
I can't speak for Tahrongi but it took ~50 willow rods and ~10 rusty kunai to cap fame in La Theine; the metric of 10 quests = 1 fame level seemed to pan out there. Doing one rod takes about 1.5-2 minutes of abyssea time, but kunai you can just spam over and over without having to zone. So it's a question of what you value more: gil, or time.
Dont bother doing 50 hardened bones, that will take retardedly long. Takes like 4 stacks of pickaxes and 30 minutes to get 12. Do 1 level of fame using bones, but no more.
Once you get some fame under your belt, you can spam the Savory salvation quest, which requires no bones. The reward is 200 cuor, so the conflux use ends up being free. You need to zone in order to repeat. once you get the hang of it, it takes you less than 3 minutes per repeat (like 2:10).
And yea, for the rod one, if you have the 10 woodworking skill, just buy 10 willow rods from npc, go spam it 10 times, then repair them outside.
Let us fill the thread with bickering bullshit because you think "AF3" makes any sense at all when speaking about JSE accessories.
Anyways, for Abyssea-Tahrongi fame, I recommend doing "Weapons, Not Worries" until you can unlock "Savory Salvation." Then, do both until you run out of bones. When you unlock "A Sterling Specimen," do that, possibly along with "Good Cardians Gone Bad." You can end up doing a good 2~3 different repeatable quests per entry and you'll only use up about 5 minutes of Visitant each time.
Your fame will max out in a lot less Visitant than trading bones for minuscule amounts of fame per 2 minutes. Not to mention, Abyssea-Tahrongi has no decent nearby homepoint other than Buburimu Peninsula's border guard, so you can't just trade a bone and warp out immediately without ultimately doing it all day long.
New found to-do list for Abyssea
Step 1: Kill Tonberry whateverers in Konshtat and get the Abyssite that lowers time wait for stones from 20 hours down to 14 hours. This is imperative to get now that these mobs are popping on your server to maximize your time in abyssea.
Step 2: Get yourself an abyssea burn. Mandies are slow to build exp but it's pretty hard for a group to fuck them up. Get yourself at least 20~30K crour from a run (this will take about a 5-6 hour run, not that hard)
Buy all 3 ivory abyssites and the maps for all 3 zones. You now won't need to spend much crour to warp conflux to conflux, can use martellos slightly faster, but most importantly, stones will give you 33 minutes instead of 30 mins each.
Step 3: Make sure you have enough crour and spend a few sessions going through all three zones and unlocking all 8 confluxes in each zones. This will make step 4 much easier.
Step 4: Maximize fame. I don't know personally offhand but if you use the search function in any of the three threads you should find a guide to maximizing your fame.
Step 5: Use your fame to complete the 2-3 quests per zone that reward abyssites. These will aid in making your character in abyssea much stronger. You'll lose less exp when you die, get stronger exp/hp/stat buffs from npcs, get temp items when you zone in, have better luck in obtaining chests, etc etc
Step 6: At this point we separate from the average player and go onto the more hardcore ones, those in endgame now want to work towards obtaining the Lunar Abyssite. This item allows you to fuse your character with one Atma per abyssea session. Atmas grant powerful buffs to your character, all the way up to +30 to stats, dramatic increases to crit rates, double attack, triple attack, magic attack, etc etc.
Fusing with an Atma does not consume it nor the lunar abyssite. You can only be fused with one of your Atmas at a time.
Step 7: Get yourself some Atmas! A complete list of atmas and what may give them is listed on wiki and all over these threads. Use the search function, you'll find it.
Step 8: ???
Step 9: PROFIT!!!
Now that you have the abyssites to buff your character powerfully, an Atma to juice yourself up to new levels, you can head out and start farming the big fish, high tier NMs for those drops you've been looking at since the first dat mining. Happy hunting!
